yessir 1440p 165hz, definitely a good middle ground
An LG Ultrawide VA 1440p @ 100hz monitor last year - in itself was already a huge upgrade from my 1080p 60fps TN benq panel
Consoles and tvs need to catch up in the refresh rate area. I'm happy with my 43" 4k 60hz tv as I don't have the money or space for a pc and generally find them confusing to operate but imagine if consoles embraced emulation with 4k 60 being the standard on newer consoles... I can dream...
Edit: hey, is HDR actually worth it? As on some games (ps5) it looks good but on others, it just takes away colour and honestly not sure of it's worth it in general.

I have a 1440p 144hz hdr monitor myself. Upgraded last year after being stuck on a 22 inch 1080p 60 HZ TV since 2013. My monitor can actually down sample 4k so I can still go beyond 1440p but I have to go back down to 60 hz if I want the 4K so I mainly just stick at 1440p.

Eyy nice, I've got a 3080 10gb as well, and considering getting this monitor as I need a second monitor for productivity (and ofc gaming!). How has the monitor been for you with the 3080? I'm curious about the newer AAA titles, I reckon the 3080 can't do them at ultra but high settings should be fine even for 4k
Honestly I switched to a 4080 when it came out, but with the 3080 it was harder to get high refresh rates on the most demanding games at 4K. Things like DLSS are a must unless it's a less demanding game.
@@PREMulous I also got 4080 and Im thinking about buying G3223Q. The 4080 is good enough to play on this 32 4k 144hz monitor? Hdr works fine on this Dell?
@@barteks816 Don't expect great HDR from this monitor, that comes from more expensive monitors. But with a 4080 you should be fine with AAA games, but you won't be able to max out everything because some games are just unoptimized.

I've never used that Samsung monitor, but it seems to have very similar specs to what I've got, all you can do is look at reviews of it and pick the one you like the aesthetic of the most.

I bet playing at 144Hz is hella smooth, the monitor is so big you could pass it off as a TV. I'm still on 1080p 60fps so your defiantly in the upper echelon of gaming, perhaps even the highest echelon of gaming.

Curious as to why you "Don't fuck with Display Port." Also, what your PC's specs?

DisplayPort just used to cause weird glitches and issues with the GPU. They say it's because you're not using some expensive certified cable but it didn't make a difference for me. HDMI isn't as pretty or high bandwidth, but it just works.
@@PREMulous Since it's been a few weeks, how's the monitor doing now? I have the exact same monitor with a 3080 and was also having weird ass display issues with the dp cable. I watched your video and bought a new HDMI cord. Haven't had any problems yet, so I'm curious since this is the second monitor I had to get from Dell. The first G3223Q they sent was a complete dud.
@@GirlRiot I haven't had any real issue with the monitor, although I haven't tested it with a DisplayPort cable, only HDMI
