I have been busy looking at the G3223d 2k version and I stumble on this 4k version. Thank you so much. I will definitely be getting this one now...
Thank you for the solid review
I might buy this one, thanks for the review
I've been on a 1080p 24" TN monitor for several years now, and I want this to be my next monitor.
I have high hopes of being blown away by the size, resolution, pixel density, and color accuracy of this one!
I was on 1080p 24" and its a massive step up. The biggest difference for me was just the size, makes it so much more immersive. The pixel density was also a very noticeable upgrade in desktop use and when viewing things up close in games.
Just ordered this for $720AUD , looking forward to getting it tomorrow and then doing a review on it also 😊
Just got mine today directly from Dell. It's a solid monitor. But man it's huge! I only ever owned 19, 22, and 24inches before this one.
Only downside is no speakers, thankfully I had my previously used speakers available and plugged it in no issues.
Out of the box the colors are solid no need to mess with the settings.
Overall 5/5 I can't complain this is my first 4k monitor.
It has a built in downward speakers. Two of em.
@@Abuzac how are the speakers? i bought them from Dell too
how did you plug in your speakers exactly? I tried mine thru the headphone jack and I got nothing

Nice review. I was just thinking if buying this monitor. Do u know if the monitor supports integration with Dell slim conference soundbar?
It has no dedicated support but I believe that it is compattable
With discounts, this is the go to monitor until new monitor comes out.. specifically thinking about the alienware 4k oled 240hZ monitor
I just got this monitor three days ago and it is very nice. It is my first 4k monitor. I stepped up from a 27" 2k/120hz. For everyday this Dell initially feels almost too big. For gaming though, it is GLORIOUS! The amount of detail and color i can see is unbelievable and the movement is buttery smooth. I play an assortment of game types including fps, rpg, and adventure (mostly point-and-click). All ultra settings. My hardware is: i5-12600K, RTX 3080 Ti, z690 MOBO, 32 GB DDR5, 2TB M.2 x 2, 850w PSU.
Really considering getting this monitor how's it been so far? I have a dell 1440p 165hz now but really want 4k
Its amazing! I found it to be a nice step up from 1440p. The colors and the amount of detail right out of the box are beautiful so I haven't yet wanted to adjust anything. Although its only 144hz, the movement on fast-paced games is buttery smooth. Its my first 4k monitor, and because of that I didn't want to spend too much, but at its price point its a great value.@@hisnameisdaniel_
I’m considering getting it for my first pc setup. What’s your thought’s on this compared to a wide/curve type monitor? I’m curious if the wide is worth it?
What does console mode do? I don't see any difference between off and on, only the color saturation changes. Tested on XSX
Great choice - seems to have a few more features than my Asus Gaming Tuf 32" monitor which I just recently purchased.
I have iyamma black hawks just finding it hard to give up but a do love dell monitors in work does this do power delivery enough for a macbook pro m3 ? I also have leveno legion 5 i pro intel laptop
Thinking about using this for both productivity at 4K and games/movies at 1080p until I get a better GPU. Any issues with 100% scaling?
The scaling will be good
@@aaz1992 yeah - just got a 4k GPU but this was no issue at all - some games do have integer scaling, but didnt need it with this
@@JGCommentscan you recommend this monitor for productivity tasks aside from gaming?
Great review! Thinking of getting this. Can you run the monitor at 120 HZ? I assume you can.
Yes you can.

If I wanna use the Gsync part of this monitor, would I need the Freesync premium pro activated in the display settings that I open with the buttons on the screen? Since theyre not the same technology I mean, seems odd if I should have freesync on if I wanna use gsync
Have you experience any image retention? I've seen a few complaints on reddit but they're old comments.
I only experienced very low pulse for an hour (noticeable on bright whyte pic) and hz illusion (motion blur) while scrolling down.
It isn't smooth on chrome but it is very smooth in videogames.
This is best monitor that supports both g and free sync and has hdr.
Take it or leave it.
Many rob you for just giving you one and less features.
This is atm best of monitors on the market that doesn't scam you with backIight bleeding and other things.
Have to accept it with low pulsing and illusion hz chrome condition b3cause there's no perfect monitor.
Better than having constant bIack screen for half sec or sec.
Just ordered the monitor last night! Can’t wait to pair it with my RX 7900XT!
İf you play AAA games on ultra, 1440P monitors are fit for 7900XT
@@lolohasan6424 I’ve been getting 125 fps+ on Cyberpunk 2077 at 3840x2160
@@lolohasan6424 There are always settings you can turn down to see substantial fps gains on 4k. And it will still look more crisp than 1440p.
When I did my last build in 2015 (yikes time for a new one) I used an 27" Acer 25x14 144 Hz IPS for around $700 -- which still works great. But I was thinking it was just another 3 or 4 years before I could drop in a comparable 32" 4K 144 Hz IPS at same price. Well I guess it took more like 8 years but this is going on my wish list for next time.
I want to do a 7900xtx build, should I go for XT instead and get a better oled 1440p monitor? I’m stuck on which 4K monitor to get !
i wouldnt buy oled if you plan on using just desktop for extended periods of time. miniled ips or regular ips are the way to go for pc screens... gamer boys who never use their pcs for work are hyping up oleds, but rest know better.
Is this Matte or Glossy panel??
I bought this same monitor a couple of days ago, it’s great but some reason it doesn’t give me the option for 144hz. Does anyone know how to enable that?
You need to plug dp in computer.
HDMI 2.1 doesn't have it...
Yet.
does it have KVM switch? or is there way to share the monitor with a second computer?
No kvm, but there is picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture possibilities
It looks really nice
Can your turn off the blue LED lights in the bcak?
Yes! You can find it under the settings tab with the latest firmware
I just ordered one a week ago, first one came in as a dud so I requested replacement, second one didn't even power on. Hoping the third one does work. Idk if I'm doing something wrong or what?
Hi, did you manage to get a working one?
How does it work with G-sync now? There were problems with flickering in early reviews.
No flickering issues from my time with it
No flickering issues on the newer models/firmware. Mine actually has G sync compatible logo on the box. Older monitors can just update the firmware.
I'm planning on getting dual monitors to replace my old 2007 24" Ultrasharps (yes, I've had them forever, which is why I'm biased towards Dell!). Just upgraded my computer also to a 4090, so I've got a PC to go with it. Is this monitor a good fit?
For a 4090 most definitely yes. It's great with a 4070ti. It's input lag does increase at 60hz gaming (games that are locked to 60) but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Just make sure you buy a better display port cable from kabeldirekt or another vesa certified cable as the one in the box is iffy.
@@aro7975 Thanks for the advice, I'll check into the cables. I've been doing heavy research over the past few days and was between this, the Gigabyte M32U and the LG 32GQ950. I keep coming back to the Dell as it has most of the features I want and the fact that I've had good luck with my current Dell displays. Also...the other two monitors have shot back up in price (hundreds of dollars) from a week ago, but the Dell is still on sale - so I will spend less and still get a great monitor. I think I'm going to pull the trigger.
Just ordered this for $470usd ($699aud for me) thanks for a good review. How long have others had to wait to get their order from Dell?
Hi Mate, how lond did it take for your order to arrive and are you happy with the monitor? Cheers!
Very awesome I am totally gonna save up for 2 of them and put them on my monitor arm for my upcoming 4070 ti super i5 13600k upgrades i have planned. :)
Don’t be so stupid boy 🤬
What monitor arm are you using?
this
I’m assuming the hdmi that comes with it is a 2.1 right?
It's 2.0 but can still maintain 144hz 4k. Though I'd recommend buying a 2.1 cable for it.
Dose it come with a good hdmi or displayport cable and which connection would you recommend
Comes with both, and really up to you and the device you’re connecting. DisplayPort will give you some more capabilities like G-Sync
I'd be connecting to pc with nivida 4090. Oh and regards to gsync. Dose that mean without display vsync would be an option instead
Does this monitor have 10 bit colour range ?
Will this monitor work with MSA20 mounting arm?
Did you find out an answer?
how do you run that cyberpunk HDR | SDR split screen test?
Two separate runs just overlayed on top of each other after the fact, I wish there was a hdr test built in
@@TechRoundUp thanks, it's very well done
I am missing the information that you get 23ms input lag with 60Hz, so when fps drop to 60 and lower...
got this for 550 euro during the sale. Its decent but seems to stutter and have motion issues in certain games. Im running a 4070ti 13900k. Any tips for modes and settings?
Yeah same here, overall great monitor . Only game I have ghosting is on COD other than that every other game is crisp
@@MikeGomez-hw2kp After using it for the past few weeks. Love it now. I also replaced the original display port cable with one from Kabeldirekt and it solved a lot of stutter issues.
Also if my game is running a solid 120-144 everything is crisp. I also didn't have G sync turned on properly initially,.but now that I do it's much better. If you change HDR to custom colour when using it and crank the contrast up in its menu, it looks even better in HDR games. One of the best monitors ive used. Next time I'll upgrade my monitor is when nvidia GPUs have display port 2.1.
cool, i just bought the monitor after this video. it was $599 on the dell website. delivering today, it should be sweet.
damn, i was trying to buy it after this video but the price was back to $799. too bad

@@TechRoundUp ah. Bummer I just started shopping for a monitor this week. Something 4K, decent refresh, 32” and good contrast/brightness. I’ll keep an eye out.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on this monitor but are there any oled 32 inch gaming monitors?
early next year, keep your eyes peeled for asus and alienware monitors
Samsung just released one
I literally just bought and received this monitor but I'm debating whether to return it and get a LG C2 42 inch to use as a productivity and gaming monitor. I do like the Dell a lot but that OLED just looks so good. Do you think it's worth getting the LG C2 or am I being stupid and stick with the Dell?
The C2 is really nice, especially for productivity. I was debating as well, it’s just a very large format for a lot of FPS still games. Even at 32” it’s a bit of a stretch.
I'm sticking with the Dell. I bought a usbc to displayport cable for my laptop and now I'm gaming at 144hz. It's glorious.
I literally swapped out my C2 for this Dell (the C2 finally became a bedroom TV), and I’m so pleased with it - in a bright room, in some ways the Dell looks even better than the C2, as well as higher refresh rate and more reasonable size + no burn in worries. In a dark room though, the C2 is definitely superior, and for HDR there’s no competition, but for me overall the Dell takes it right now.
@@veryDave Yeah I have to say I'm also glad I stayed with the Dell. 32 is perfect and the screen is beautiful. I'll just upgrade to an OLED when a 32 inch version of the WOLED or QDOLED becomes available with the specs I want. For now, I'm a happy camper.
I purchased the samsung oled for productivity and gaming second but after thinking about burn in which I know will eventually happen I ordered this dell and about to return the Samsung. Oleds are the best for gamng and media consumption but a no go for work and productivity plus I already have a lg c2 65" for tv.
Should I turn on HDR if I’m gaming ?
Yes Bro, use the auto HDR on Windows 11

It's good for ps5? I can use only 32" in my room. Now i have a Benq "32 since 5 years (payed 400 €). Thank you!
Yes, it is arguably better for console gaming than PC gaming.
would anyone recommend for a first time 4k monitor? just got a 4090 and looking for a good start on 4k

Its a very solid choice. However, if budget isn't a concern I would maybe wait for the new oled monitors coming out this year.
Does it rotate 90 degrees. Good to mention if it does or does not.
No you can't use it in portrait. It says it in the manual. For some reason with its design.

I see this monitor on ebay....brand new and sealed for £460. Is it worth buying?
I personally wouldn't risk buying stuff on ebay lol but if you want to bite the bullet it's up to you, if there's a problem with it you can't return it, I would rather pay full price or wait for a sale on the official Dell website. Did you end up buying it?
@@Jay-son. Yeah bought it straight after I watch the video. Great monitor. Definitely recommend it

The ones in my store has the exact same model number but does not support Nvidia G-sync, did they cancel that or ? weird
Yea you really got them, your country will probably never restock 4080's!
Suspect that your store didn’t update the product information. They added g-sync support to it after it was originally released.

Did you update monitor?
I heard the update screws up the monitor.

My 65" LG C1 has been my primary PC gaming monitor since I got my 4090 setup but I'm looking to downsize to something I can sit closer to. I absolutely love the IPS displays Apple uses in their laptops and iPads , so I'm curious how this Dell will stack up against those in clarity? Thought about getting another OLED but I want something I know will last for many years and I'm tired of the constant dimming on my C1.

DO NOT buy the LG. I bought that back in March and it became defective just a week ago. And LG wanted me to ship it to them for repair with the whole process taking anywhere from 3-6 weeks. I was worried that with the monitor being shipped back and forth that something else would just break eventually so I hit up Amazon and they gave me a partial refund (only 80% of what I paid) since it had been over a month. But read the new reviews for that monitor talking about black flickering lines showing up on it, that's exactly what happened to me. And the monitor was manufactured in Feb of this year so it wasn't hadn't been sitting around long before I purchased it.
what is better, this one or LG 32GR93U?
which one did you end up getting?
Only 599$, we in Europe must pay 739€ 😢
I just want to see what 100% windows scaling looks like in the desktop, menu etc but can't find any reviewer that shows it
100 scaling is too small to use imo. I use 125 or 150. 150 makes the icons and windows the same size as a 27 inch 2k monitor but with more real estate. I do music production and have noticed some windows of my software is small. But lots are resizable. I had a 27 inch 4k monitor and scaling on that was terrible as on 100 I couldnt read stuff as it was too small. So any windows stuck at 100 scaling were unreadable/unusable. So I went for a 32 inch. Definitely more readable, but still small.
