Everyone pay attention!! From Verona to Walnut Grove pull over on either side you find rip rap rock. Throw a jerkbait, swimbait or walking top water bait early morning or evening. Your welcome!!🙏🏾
Jerk bait directly on a braided line or is it better to have a braided main line and fluorocarbon as the leader? Does it matter if you jerk against the current or with the current. Wonder if the action differ. Thanks.
Stripers aren’t too line shy and will bite with straight braid, but I prefer some type of leader just in case that one fish is line shy but your preference. I might do a vid on line for stripers. But it’s easier just to jerk with the current because that’s where your jerkbait is going anyways. But it doesn’t matter if your going against or with the current.
Go fish at habor blvd. Go pass old river road a bit and park on the side of the road. You can take i5 and get off on hood. Fish the split that goes to courtland or the one that goes to freeport.
Hey can’t wait to get out next weekend and finally get after them again. You linked the jerkbaits you like..but didn’t say which colors or types of colors you like to throw the most. Could you please share that? TIA🎣🤙🏻🍻
In my experience I’ve used all different types of colors and it’s seems to me they don’t really care. There some days where a color switch can help but u can’t go wrong with some type of flashy chrome color or a pure white.
Get some grippers you're going to rip your hand up grabbing them like that with them hooks and I got news for you any lure you throw in the water they're going to hit they come from up underneath and hit the nose of the lure you usually catch them on the front hooks all I use is surface walk the dog lures #1 For striper fishing
Damn for reals with the fish being camera shy. Took my GoPro out a number of times and most of the time I skunk or when I do hook a fish, the camera is in my bag. Smh good fishing tho. 👍🏼
Now you should see why less hooks is best. We don’t ever use nets either. Nor can we lift the fish out of the water with the rod , unless it’s schoolies, which are too small. Best eating though. HAHAHAHAHAHA
Don’t grab the gills. Thumb the bottom lip an not injure them. They alway go for the head. That’s why you won’t need a middle hook to get in your hands. A single hook on the back. The blue fish will go for the tail. Not usually Stripers. They hit by the head. This should be a good game changer for ya. They should be here in the next week or two. I’d really like to fish over there too for the variety of fish. You have some there that we don’t have here.
U one crazy guy grabbing the fish like that wit trebles right next to the fingers 😭 good job killin em tho 🤟🏼
Always have pliers on hand!!
I have Abu garcia bait caster and man so far it’s pretty smooth😎
The minnow style lure is deadly on just about any bass species. Great video and great fishing thanks. 😎
Amazing video brother. Keep them coming

Just from my experience for Striper and salmon I just tie straight to the braid they are not that picky if they are out there.

Where is this at and at what time did you go? I was at the Canal today but no stripers only bass. Never caught a striper it's my goal this year

Love your videos! Do you use a mono bumper or straight braid? Have you seen any line shyness with stripers?
Stripers aren’t really line shy and will bite with braid. But I like mono just in case
