This video makes me miss my home of almost 40 years so much! Washington State, the entirety of it, was my backyard and I saw almost ALL of it, and loved it all, still love it all. I've been to Hurricane Ridge 3x, each one epic for it's own reasons. Memories...
Not going to lie my anxiety reveals itself when the video is sped up when roads have edges (cliffs no rails) 😂🤣
I can't even imagine doing this at night (no street lights)
I drove on the road to Mt Blue Sky in Colorado and booooy do those sheer drops make you sweat. Especially when the wind picks up.
Wow!😎😎😎
16:02 just down the road off to the left I can see my late great grandmothers house
I've been there at least 3 times and i would love to go back.
Great scenery! In the telephoto shot of Victoria, are those the North Shore Mountains (above Vancouver) in the distance (or just clouds)? Also, in the still shots between 22:50 and 23:00 , do you know what that bight object is (left side, in distance)?
That blue-green Pontiac convertible at the entrance fee station would be a perfect car to take up to Hurricane Ridge on a day like you had.
Hope you & your grandpa enjoyed y'all time at Olympic National Park. Should you ever make it the Eastern part of the US, be sure to visit Smokey Mountains National Park- which is the most visited National Park in the US.
PS, that bear sighting is a reminder that why it's called "wild life."
30 bucks----OUCH! Did your grandpa get one of those lifetime National-Park passes that were being offered to seniors. I'm just a few years younger than your grandpa, and I got mine back in 2016. Are they still being offered? Those passes are invaluable.
Yes
