The Guitar Grimoires have been amazingly useful as a reference, and I don't see them repped enough. Getting stuck in scales is a thing, but those books are the best at what they do imo.

No offense taken! People keep watching these for some reason and very little views on the new stuff hence the recurring topic!
How did you determine that BB King knew nothing about music theory? How many "tons of music theory" did Jeff Beck know? The common links between the two would be their eclectic musical tastes, actual experience making music in bands over many decades, respect for other musicians and their music, and humility. But, some people teach guitar.
The notes don't matter. It's the space between the notes that has to be mastered. Everything I've ever written that has some merit was done accidently and it's uniqueness is the timing of the notes, not the notes themselves.
So, make a lot of mistakes, figure out what you did wrong, and don't fix it!
Get on with it you talk to much
You need to listen. Everyone wants everything all at once theses days.
