      Mattia L. Well if you actually watched carefully you would have seen that was a straddled hand and he checked his option to raise, pre-flop. It’s called a BB special, just a straddle special in this case.

      Blue Ocean no he doesn’t only play premium hands. He plays situations, which is why the announcer said it seemed “almost unfair” that he could even get AA as a starting hand.

This will pay huge dividends going forward as most of them will be more scared to call off/get it in vs him knowing that they can't run it multiple times. He started this clip with a stack of $44,075 and finished with a stack of $68,074 for a profit of $23,999. Might not be a fortune by his standards, but certainly not bad for someone who "can't win a hand". Considering the hands we saw him lose, her certainly MUST have won a lot more hands that they simply didn't show. I am a pensioner living on less than $12,000 a year...I wouldn't mind a profit of $24,000 in one night!

      its dynamics.
      Not only is it BTN vs BB, but its Gman dynamics. Everyone knows Garett is 3b wide blinds vs btn and BTN vs everything else. and Garrett knows people are going to 4b him light (in this case it wasn't) in position bc he's 3b wide out of the blinds so he can 5b light too. In this case he had AK so 5b is fine. Once he gets 6b shoved he's sort of pot committed. I'm guessing he knew/assumed Henry is not a nit who's only 6bet shoving AA, but that he could have AK, KK-QQ and some bluffs like Axs .etc

  • @troyhbk
    @troyhbk 6 років тому

    I know Garrett thinks he's far superior to most players he plays with on LATB. Unfortunately, he's not quite superior enough to be doing this or is anyone? Calling 7-3o out of position even with the ante and the blinds and the fact your the BB is losing poker, period. I guess if theres a time to do it it would be this situation but even when you hit a big hand, you can be dominated. Muck 7-3.

    After this run of beats, Garrett probably pulled the dealer over to the side, and set em straight. Check calling would be a horrible play given the run out. You lose more value by check/calling than you do by betting because there are very few combos of hands which are going to bet the river given Adelstein is holding a three. You only check/call if you're trying to play cautiously. There's no reason for Adelstein to play cautiously given pre/post flop action. He just got extremely lucky by running into one of the very few combos that crushed him.
