Of course I am never on Garrett’s level, but watch his face and body change when 7 drops. He goes from laughing and talking to dead serious. He may use that as a false tell but I watch a lot and never saw that much of a change on him so quickly.

At the same time, it’s getting to a serious point in the hand. Joke time is over and stacks are on the line, so he’s just turning off the clown mode IMO.

10:50 Michael's biggest mistake was not four betting Garrett preflop trying to be cute by trapping. Once Garrett saw the flop he wasn't going anywhere with being open ended and a king high flush. Then on the turn he fails to recognize four to a straight when Garrett raises him 20k more. I've seen many people in 1/3 and 2/5 unwilling to fold their overpair with boards this dynamic but to see someone play these stakes and make that mistake is just sad.

His biggest mistake was calling the huge raise on the turn, followed by calling the river. Slow playing a big pair is fine on occasion, but you have to know how to get away on dangerous boards.

Odd response to my reply to your very subjective comment that there are "none better imo". There was nothing to back up that statement of yours. Why the double standard for me?
Also, I didn't claim my assertion is the prevailing sentiment. If it was, I probably wouldn't have bothered making it. I'm just surprised people like him as much as they do. That said, my comment did concede that he has good highs (strong theoretical analysis.)
Good luck trying to control a conversation on your terms on social media. Your reaction to my reply was really excessive and, seemingly, emotional. Sorry I struck a chord, but yeah, I had things I wanted to say in response, as you can see.

    • @timsullivan4566

@@markjklein Are you serious? Okay -Of course my comment was nothing more than an opinion - that's what the comment section is for. But you CHALLENGED my comment, beginning with "
Really?" suggesting you found my comment surprising, implying that there was much to suggest I was off base. THAT is the point where a reasonable person would understand that they have shifted fro giving an opinion to offering an argument. It then was incumbent on you to support your argument - which you disingenuously APPEARED to do by challenging my view by citing Bart's short-comings - but you provided NO examples to support these citations.
I actually guessed your response would take the form it did - i.e. - a poorly conceived "tit-for-tat" that was illogical in it's very conception. Additionally interesting to note that you chose (poorly, as I've indicated) to "attack" rather than supply any support for your counter-claim. Anticipating this ineffective and purely combative type of response, I even went to the trouble of advising you I had no interest in any further exchange without your first supporting your position with specifics. You did not and have shown yourself to be merely an opinionated troll with an inflated view of your own debating skills. I will not communicate with you again but by all means have the last word - but believe me you will likely not successfully alter in any positive way the image you have already painted of yourself. Good-bye and take care.

When a 4 liner hits and you're out of position vs Garrett and he has the range advantage, it's probably best to overfold. He's going to put your stack at risk and we can't play the turn and river profitably. He barrels off his flush draws with no showdown and his value which far outweighs ours. We're put in hero call mode vs an uncapped range.

  • @chelseafanfromasia

I don't understand why people kept paying him off with marginal hands. Yes he is also known for huge bluffs but you also need to pick your spots and hands to defend with. Pocket queens on a double paired and flush board facing an overbet is not a must call, even against Garrett. Same applies to kings on a 4 card straight board when your opponent clearly have these smaller connectors in his range. If you just close your eyes and call in most of these spots, I don't think it's plus ev.

If the video could show players' positions, it would be appreciated.

Garrett runs well AND gets punt donations like Michael gave him - horrendously misplaying KK preflop and post-flop!

I had to work all of 2021 to make what Garrett made on this stream...

Garrett doesn't always run good. There are plenty of videos where he gets bluffed or gets value owned. He does seem like the GOAT for the bike videos and Hustler videos. Vertucci seems better in the hustler show must be some sort of editing magic kappa.

Every time the board pairs on these streams the commentary always say how it's unlikely X player to have a house! Can someone explain why that is?

I dont understand why they don't use a card shuffler considering the huge stakes. Im not saying Garrett does this, but all he'd have to do is make a deal with the dealers and pay them 10k a week each which is a lot for anyone to turn down.
Considering how hot he runs, if I was playing in this game I would definitely wonder for sure!
