Always the good stuff first, maybe leave one bit for last, eat the rest in between. It would be a shame to wait with the good stuff until its cold and i'm full. >.
Alternate to keep a balance. And there's technically no "bad stuff", especially in Japan. The sides are not "fillers". They're included to compliment the main dish.
Great job guys, have to say the Kobe beef was my favorite meal. It is very nice they have such a beautiful nature walk only 10 minutes from the rails. Nice city, definitely less crazy busy which I prefer. Thanks Deana and Phil for taking us along, can’t wait to see what’s next!🥩🍱⛩💕👍
To be able to arrive in a new city, get two decent meals, walk around the city and then get into a more natural and beautiful setting and then leave to get back to where your lodgings are is a really awesome travel day and doesn't happen that often.
Really enjoyed seeing Kobe and the delicious beef and street food. I save best for last but will make sure i dont get full to enjoy it. Thank you for a great video.
@Phil: About your "other way to eat" (6:00) There was a perfect description in a Docu about Japan that has stuck with me for 15 years or so by now: "Man isst sich nicht satt, man isst sich zufrieden." (You don't eat until you're full, you eat until you're satisfied.) Generally though the agreement seems to be "only until 90%")
Regardless of what I'm eating, I always save the best for last. I will eat may salad and/or veg first, just to be done with it (even though I like them) and then I will indulge in my plate favorite. I have done this as a child. I do tease myself with a few bites of the best along the way, but I mostly save it for last. Thanks for the video!
Amazing you found that hike on the backside of Kobe Station. I try to do that hike every time I'm there. There was a more touristy gondola ride /hike on the other side of the station
I eat the good stuff first too, especially if it's hot. Why fill myself up on the side dishes? But I'm also the person who eats dessert first if I'm more excited by it than the main course.
Now i`m veggie but this looks goood, dude. Höhöhö, Japan is just full of very nice food. The best steak i have ever seen was in one of your videos a few weeks ago, when they`ve covered that thing in a giant fried egg. 😮
I used to save "best bites" for last, but as I've become an adult, I try to eat according to what things won't taste good cold. So if I were eating at the steak restaurant, I'd definitely eat the steak first because it would taste best right off the grill. I wouldn't want to wait and let such an experience of a steak get cold. Also, I've noticed I don't have the stomach space that I had as a child, and I'd hate to get too full to be able to eat the steak.
for one person that sells that kind of meat, kobe is always better with some spicy sauce or some soy spicy sauce and almost rare cooked, my oppinion :)
hi Deana, it's ok to hit Phil when he's being annoying ;-). Edit: and to add a bit more comments based on the video. When I'm really experiencing new things I don't need my stomach to be completely filled. I'll handle that with some well known, cheaper classics
Kobe beef is wagyu which meets certain requirements from Hyogo prefecture. While most famous worldwide, other prefectures are more highly regarded within Japan.
Do you eat the good stuff FIRST or LAST? :D

At end!!!!!
Last, if I eat the bad stuff at all.

Love Kobe. I lived there for 4 years back in the 90's. Great to see it is still such a chill city with great food!

I was thinking i could give Japan a miss, but Kobe looks kind of amazing!❤
Really enjoyed seeing Kobe and the delicious beef and street food. I save best for last but will make sure i dont get full to enjoy it. Thank you for a great video.
Wow, the meat looks absolutely perfect.

Why hahaha? You have to eat best first as it is warm!
Kobe city is so underrated city in Japan
Amazing you found that hike on the backside of Kobe Station. I try to do that hike every time I'm there. There was a more touristy gondola ride /hike on the other side of the station
I was raised to eat the stuff you "don't care for" first, and work your way to the better-tasting things.
Among your latest videos, I think Kobe and Kuala Lumper are places where I'd most love to go.
I eat the good stuff first too, especially if it's hot. Why fill myself up on the side dishes? But I'm also the person who eats dessert first if I'm more excited by it than the main course.
15:50 OMG hahahaha

2004 okubo elementary 11yrs old girl takes box cutter to end 11yrs classmate life , child killed other girl student. alcohol harms any one each day
Are you going to Kamakura to see Giant Buhdda? Narrow track train is a fun ride too!
And I thought Osaka was relaxing after a week in Tokyo.
Kobe beef with the classic Guga foods intro ;) I appreciate it.

I have noticed yes, there are signs in Japanese. But there's quite a few in english.
Like the duck chef!
A5 wagyu is the best.
I wish I could eat it completely red and I would also keep the best for last.
👍
Hmmm, did you have A5? The price is a bit suspect. When I went in 2015, I paid $100 USD for lunch.
I am not a fan of wagyu or kobe beef. They're too fatty. I much prefer Texas or Iowa beef. Thanks for the nice tour of Kobe.
Zu welcher Jahreszeit seid ihr da?
The moment she said you don't need bbq sauce....
For me, eat the specialty item HOT, then eat the fillers.
Not much of Kobe that I recognize was there in 1994 and they had a huge earthquake in 1995 where much of downtown was destroyed
@@MyBjornE I was there for the quake. It wasn’t fun.

Eat the meat first. I'm eating the most expensive part first because I'm not gonna eat the sides first and then not have room for the best part
Das hast noch kein "Thüringer Omas Klops" gegessen, woohoo.
Pampering cows makes it big bucks. Of course fat is more tender! Unless it is grizzle!
I had Peaking Duck in Bangkok,Thailand and did not like it !
12:55 Trumpian Brain Fart 😮😱 OMG. At least you know your oranges 🍊🍊😂🎉+1.

What goes well with steak? ---> ....

I am kinda over Japan, whats next?
"Happy German Language Day"}14-09
Bah, NO WAY! The best steak in the world is from the Midwestern USA! PERIOD!!!

dont eat kobegyu at that restaurant guys, waste of money and scam foreigners without any knowledge about wagyu. You WILL NOT be served A5 there
