Thanks for the review, love your sense of humor! Not huge into cycling but went looking for reviews of the Oladance from people who don't just use them inside, as you said.
Nothing better than "on the job" review for real world rather than sitting on the sofa! However: bass? Mids? Treble? Mic quality? - would be good to know all these as well...
Thank you for taking these out in the world! I was waiting for someone to actual take them out rather than sit in a studio!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Got my first pair of in ear wireless buds for running and I love them; I only wear them on quiet bike paths when riding though because they really do act like ear plugs! These look like a great option! Great review Dave; more puddles please!
Thanks mate, definitely gonna be more puddles…it’s puddle season!
So true about bone conducting. The Aftershokz are great, but I can only do podcasts with them. Music isn't clear enough. I've been burned by kickstarter headphones before, but I'll check these out. Thanks Dave! EDIT: for indoor training I just use Mpow Flame cause they're dirt cheap and sweatproof (and I've wrecked a few sennheisers before with sweat)
Back to your best! Looking forward to more MTB adventures.
Cheers bud.
I love that the price has dropped over 30%, too bad these darn things don't support multipoint, like they USED TO advertise; doesn't work.
Saw your review and got myself one. It came in yesterday. Tried it and it blew my mind. Sound quality is so much better than the Elite 7 I just got a few weeks back, at half the price. Thanks mate 👍
You’re welcome, welcome was genuinely surprised too.
Does yours have a weird plastic smell?
@@ladenjacobsen2368 No wierd smell for mine.
Yes, wind noise is tough on bone conductive. I wear a buff riding (NZ covid restrictions) and with it over my ears it cuts the wind noise out completely. I'm going to get something to reduce wind noise I think.
Let’s not get rad!! Great line for an Attacus t-shirt for you🤣 🤘🏼
🤣🤣🤣
Interesting review. I commute with a bluetooth speaker as I don't want to wear my current headphones and have borrowed bone conducting ones which had the exact issues you've mentioned. Going to have a look at these, batter life is a big deal for me.
Totally get why you’d just use a speaker, I just can’t sue the bone conducting ones…I want to hear the music. I found these were a good in between. Also decent battery life.
@@DaveNoakes if the battery life is good I'll definitely check them out.
4:58 I thought you were going have a rant about that walker! 🤣😂
I totally did…but didn’t put it in 🤣🤣🤣
I have always used 1 earbud, but my set died recently, picked up some bone conducting and they are just not for me. As mentioned when riding slow they are fine, but as soon as you are at speed or in wind forget it even at full volume I can barely hear them.
Since you reviewed these a year ago, how have they held up? Still using them?
Still using them, they certainly stood the test of time.
Thanks Dave..I use the one ear bud method. Peace
Good method!
@@DaveNoakes Thanks Dave. How are you doing ? You OK mate ?
@@cb6866 thank you for asking. I’m good…surviving 🤷🏻♂️🤣👍🏼
@@DaveNoakes Very good. We don’t have CALM over here but , I like to
ask , as I have lost a brother Peace
Hi Dave could you tell me where can you purchase these Ive searched the web and can’t find them anywhere not even on their own website? Please can you help 🤦♀️🤗
Dave, I noticed in the video your cycling glasses were kept stored in your helmet. Do these headphones allow you to wear glasses at the same time or do they interfere with doing that?
Hi Bob, it’s no problem wearing glasses and the headphones 👍🏼
@@DaveNoakes Cheers!
Finally come across a "real world" review on these... Thanks mate. One question - how's the call quality on these while you're riding? I.e. can people on the other end hear you clearly?
It’s not too bad for the wearer…though the person on the other end can get a lot of wind noise!
@@DaveNoakes Cheers mate!
Nice review mate. Shown doing an actual real world test rather than sitting on the couch. Would you recommend
Thank you. They are definitely a good alternative to in ear headphones and bone conduction ones.
@@DaveNoakes cheers. Thanks I've just pledged for one. I'm a bit of a headphones geek lol.
Always go with the one earbud. Bought a cheap pair of the net. Work great so far. Only complaint is the sweat will follow the earbud down into your ear. Take care, Al
I get my phone telling me my volume is too high all the time, damn thing keeps turning it down. Really need to invest in a decent set of headphones though, mine are pants
Mine used to turn it down then it just stopped and carried on with the warning…🤷🏻♂️I guess it figured I was a lost cause 🤣
can you use just one at a time?
Yes
Where’s the best place to buy them from?
They are on Kickstarter, the link is in the description 👍🏼
Generally I go for in ear headphones and never tried bone conducting headphones but thinking about giving them a try. These are on the list to try out, cracking review Dave.
These aren’t bone conducting but they feel between those and ear buds. Thanks mate
