In this video we are going to show you all, step-by-step approaches we used to prepare a small portion of our farm (12 cents) for five layer farming & தமிழர் வேளாண்மை முறை . I would strongly recommend this approaches/methods for those, who can spend time on weekends only for small scale farming.
To start this approach, we first cleared our existing cultivation area of crops whose harvest was almost done. Cutter we used for this activity is Wolf-Garten.
Secondly we removed and disposed all plastic mulching sheets we laid during the month of august 2020. This activity was done with a great support of Mr.Tirupathy, a super volunteer during that weekend 🙏. Removed all drip lines carefully and tied all of them in a safe place. We had seen 3-4 non venomous snakes during this activity. So please be careful while working on your farm.
This activities took 3- 3.5 Hrs for us without any break. After finishing our lunch we had a small break.
Started plowing with power tiller/weeder which we have. Operating this power weeder requires lots of stamina . I did a small portion of it (say 6 raised beds). Rest and all done by JAI anna. ( 🙏) The Power weeder which we use given in this link. www.kisankraft...

Really Appreciated Brother. You are spending good amount of time in capturing videos, editing and posting in UA-cam. This will definitely help us to understand step by step process, but at the same time you are improving/enhancing your farm in a natural way day by day (For eg. avoiding plastic mulching sheet ..etc). I hope you are trying to harvest rain water by using Varappu Uyarthal technique which is not required in your land as you have clay soil. Best way to harvest the rain water is through SPNF (Subhash Palekar Natural Farming Technique) which will have trenches in between vegetable bed or fruit trees bed (2ft wide and 1ft height and it should be in 'V' shape) and fill natural mulching in alternate trenches (dry leaves - both monocot & dicot) and pour jiwamirtham/ghana jiwamirtham in that alternate trenches. Earth worm will start cultivating your soil naturally and all the rain water will penetrate in to the soil immediately through this process. I am from Trichy, Tamil Nadu... currently living in USA. But after reading Subhash Palekar books, I started natural farming (SPNF technique) near Trichy for the past three months (through remotely). He has explained step by step process A to Z in natural farming. Kindly go through his latest fruit forest model. All the best Brother.

@@project36mf Good to know that you are from Srirangam. If you increase the height of Varappu, then plan for vadikal vasathi to push out of the stagnant water from the farm. If you follow SPNF technique, 60 to 70% of water will percolate into soil (20 ft depth) easily and whenever water vapor is not available near root zone of the plants/trees, then this percolated water will come from 20ft depth to the root zone through capillary force and this water vapor will not evaporate as we have dry leaves mulching in the soil.

Like many i also started farming after seeing many videos from social media. During my initial days I was under impression that mulching sheets are best way to control weeds. Later i realized and removed all mulching sheets , started using natural mulch materials like hey,jute and for few plants gone with live mulching. I admitted my mistake and apologized in one of my video for using plastic mulching. Thanks

Sir, instead of plastic mulching sheet, can you use natural mulching methods, like dry wood or leaves, then those will decompose, and enrich the soil

How it's possible 5 layer faming with தமிழர் வேளாண்மை in your small land? Are you interested in farming or want to become youtuber?, You are just imitating thottam siva channel.
1. My neighbour( Ganesh) is very close to Gnanaprakasam ayya and he is practising in his farm that he learnt from ayya. He often meets ayya and we use to get constant inputs from him. As I mentioned in this video I am going to implement/practice few things from தமிழர் வேளாண்மை( வரப்பு , உரம் கொடுத்தல் , செடிகளுக்கு தண்ணீர் தூரமாக வைத்து கொடுத்தல் போன்றவை) going forward. Two 36ft×36 ft (2592 sq ft ) space is allocated in our farm for short term fruit trees , which is 20% area of our farm (total area 15456 sqft) . And following தமிழர் வேளாண்மை method which is very easy for us . Bcoz it requires minimal effort from our end to get good yield over the period of time .
2. If you find time please read "about section of this channel" and pls watch my earlier videos. When we started farming in jan 2020 we have no mentor of similar type. Even many like me still not able to find a good mentor till date . So we started this channel to share what we are practising for long time.
3. See my friend, thottam siva sir channel and our channel all speaking about farming. Like you, he inspired me lot and inspires many. He is role model for many of us who are interested in farming/gardening. And i have no intention/interest to imitate anyone.
