Such a different genre of games. This is why gamers are awesome, because they can turn to any genre and relax. I'm just waiting for those that say Soul-like are their relaxing games. 😆
Some walking sims don't relax me at all - like Suicide of Rachel Foster that has a really spooky vibe. Open world games are pretty relaxing for me since I have no urgency to do whatever I want. RDR2, Breath of the Wild, and some open-world racing games such as NFS MW 2012 are super fun to just be around the world
Oh maybe, I'd avoid a horror walking sim like that. I was more referring in the nature of INSIDE and GRIS. I love open-world, but I can't say I am fully relaxed on them when I play. I do get absorbed by the world, but most games of that nature tend to have some form of action in them.
I don't find Strategy/Turn Based-Games very relaxing compared to some other genres! I need to be in the right very focused mood for the text-heavy tutorials/descriptions and convoluted management! I definitely agree with the Life Sims one! I've spent 20 hours designing my sims and house and barely actually played yet lol :D I would ultimately say that Exploration/Farming Sim/Creative Building games are the most relaxing if you're in one of those 0 energy moods!
@@softbearcas Strategy game are definitely not for everybody. I grew up with the genre. It was what I was playing all the time for many years. The turn based-aspect is the part that lets me relax between turns. Things are slow and methodical, so I get to just enjoy it that way. The construction part will forever be my favourite part of the Sims. And like you I spend more time building and creating a background story for my character(s) than actually playing the game as intended.
I have not played RDR2 except the online version and that wasn't so relaxing, but open-worlds sure do get m e close to that state. I still feel you're more involved than other games I enjoy to be in if I just wanna turn off my brain.
For me the the relaxation goes more frome the style instead of genre (just look at the Loddlenaut, it's so dang cute!) but still I have a Bloons tower defence and some more easy sided bullet hells to just get in the flow and after some time come with a different mood
Oh for sure! I mean, some games in a specific genre can be the right fit, but not every strategy games keeps me in that state of relaxation. RTS games for instance really make me think. So, it all depends on the games I guess too.
I agree with the city building, but the games I've played have had a weird war system and disgusting tutorials. Hello ANNO 1404. Life simulators don't help me relax, they only make me annoyed. Haven't tried Bullet hell. I find strategy games more tiring than relaxing. You start playing and do not realize how to pass 5-8 hours. It's dangerous. Walking simulators for me are boring and cause only rejection. Although Road 96 has recently become a pleasant discovery for me.
Isn't it all about relax? 😜
Thanks Vash for your share on this topic 😇
Happy to share my views on this. What's the games you turn to to relax?
When I wanna relax I turn back to DOOM, Serious Sam, Forza Horizon 3/4, FUEL, Snowrunner/Expeditions, or anything that fits my mood at that time.

I play vampire survivors casually, it is a very good game
@@patricio8091 It sure is! Great for short sessions. 👏🏻

RDR2 should be there taking your horse just walking around in this amazing world !

I relax with Splinter Cell Conviction, my fingers know what to do without thinking
