Just found out during researching my family, that my father was the 4th great grandson of one of the original culpepper minute men.......Col. John Jameson........amazing and so excited to continue to research! He was involved in the 13 or so men who designed the flag and story goes that it was on some of their land where meetings were held......KY and WV and OH family lands now, but thats before VA was split to VA and after the civil war, the soldiers were paid in bare land not money (thats how ggggpa ended up in ohio, it was granted to him for his time spent in the military under George Washington).......thanks for this.....I am writing a few childrens books on the subject currently, ...I believe that it is NOT being taught in schools anymore.....sad!
Thanks for posting. I'll be at the Culpeper Museum in a few days. Let's get you to St. John's Church in Richmond for one of our Liberty or Death reenactments.
Very interesting video, Culpeper has a lot of history. Of course, they have been in the news again lately because A.P. Hill’s remains were recently moved from Richmond to Culpeper…..great video as always! Thanks!

Late 1700's my family settled here. Nice seeing this history. I understand there is a cemetery Esept Boller somwhere in the area.
