@@smokiej hahahah strong combat roll into your new tent when you set it up for the first time. In loving the XR really is a do all bike. 3-400 mile trips in a day easy peasy. Coming from sportsbikes to this is perfect as it so bloody fast but doesn't make me want to cut off my wrists due to the pain I used to get. Plus it does all the touring stuff easy too. Only thing I would change is to have a bigger fuel tank. Are you looking to change away from yours or you happy with it.
Cool video. That tent is very compact yet gives quite a usable space when put up. I guess the frame poles wouldn't fit in the top box. What would be your plan for carrying them? With the XR, you could also carry the side boxes to put extra camping gear etc. Great set up! Thanks for sharing. (PS - love how the traffic on the adjacent road sounds like a motorcycle racetrack when the video is sped up.)
Thanks for the compliment. Your right about the poles, I'm yet to figure out a perfect place for them. At the moment I will probably strap them to the back of the passenger seat as there as wide as the top box so won't stick out. Also if I take a dry bag I will probably strap that to the passenger seat along with the poles. I also have the side panniers but again the poles don't fit into these. I would use side boxes for clothing, food and any other camping stuff.
I just bought a COLEMAN COBRA PRO 3 the copper colored one....And both zips snag on the second clip up just like yours do....More annoying when your on the inside...Ive vaselined the zips and that has helped a bit but I took far far longer to put the tent up than you did....Brill tent room wise and will FABSIL Gold it next week....I wouldnt want to try putting it up in a storm....
Yeah I love the tent apart from that part of the zip. I'm glad I'm not the only one hahahahahah. If I was to buy another tent knowing how big this one is I'd go for the cobra 3 for that little bit of extra room. Not that mine is small by no means. Thanks for the tip of using Vaseline. You will get quicker putting yours up no doubt about it.
