Look guys. Don't let the one comment fool you. They do not know what they are talking about. If she has the mic up to her mouth, it is all her. Anyone that has seen enough Tati interviews and actually hear her in their live sets knows what she is capable of. She doesn't fake anything. I think it's jealousy myself lol.
Maybe my favorite Jinjer song. The official video is stunning in black & white and I think the song warrants you checking it out.
3:02 - Oh, you can bet that every lyrics Tatiana writes always point out something very concrete! You have to read past the direct meaning of the words or the sentences because more often than not she uses a lot of metaphors. You also have to bear in mind that she writes the lyrics in her native language and then translates them into English, resulting in the use of words that aren't commonly used. I've read comments of English native speakers saying that they learned new words by reading Tatiana's lyrics. 😄
8:46 - The vocal harmony tracks are launched from the laptop that you can see behind Vlad, they were not added in post. They also use tracks with other sounds from the studio albums so that the live songs sound as close as possible to what the listeners are used to hear. The laptop also plays a click track that everyone has in their in-ears to keep things in sync as best as possible. That's why you never see Vlad hitting the sticks to mark the beginning of the songs like other drummers do, it's all in their ears. 🙂
9:22 - I don't know if you noticed (it's kind of hard to see in this footage unless you know what to look for) but Vlad has a 2nd set of hi-hats up front that's only foot operated (he has 3 pedals next to his left foot, one for the main hi-hats, one for the 2nd hi-hats and one for the double kick) and he sometimes does crazy off beat stuff with it. You can see him operating it at 9:55. I truly believe that his brain has a left side, a right side, a front side and a back side, judging by some of the things he does on the drums. 😆
Heh, well, Tati _sometimes_ writes in Russian and translates. She also often writes directly in English.
In 2019, they put out an album, Macro, and an EP ,Micro. Pit of Consciousness comes from Macro. This video was filmed in Kiev late 2019, would be nice to for the fighting to end, so they can get back there soon.
Another from this album is about the fighting in Ukraine in 2014. That song is called Home Back, check out the music video for that.

Fun fact: Vlad has a second hi-hat way out front and down low, right at or even a little below the top level of the bass drum. There's absolutely no way to access it with the sticks; it's just for that super crisp pedal work. He puts it there so that it can have its own dedicated mic with pretty high gain, physically far enough away from the rest of the kit that its mic doesn't pick up much of anything else, so it can be that ultra-clean.
That's how much they care about their live sound... a third left foot pedal, a second entire hi-hat setup, an extra mic and its wiring and slot on the sound board, all just so those clicks you noticed in the poly section would be extra-crispy.
Great reaction! This song (and particular performance) is quintessential Jinjer for me... I absolutely love the brutality that is punctuated by moments of Tatiana's clean vocals, the quirky composition, and the insane musicianship of all involved. I think the song is about the feelings of disassociation from being on tour for long periods of time. Being away from home, rootless, for months at a time.
Yes guys, my favorite Jinjer song! They just kill it here! This gives you an idea how insane Tati is. I have seen them live in concert, she's getting no help from long delay, she kills it all on her own! Try "Captain Clock" live at Resurrection Fest or "Retrospection" live in Melbourne.
This is a legendary performance. But my hot take is that their recording of this song in their Melbourne 2020 set is a much better performance, if only from the sound engineer. That entire Melbourne set is a master class for the sound engineer.
