    Welcome to Geoff's rabbit hole.
He has more tutorials like this one and hoping you'll do them all.
All of his videos are fantastic.
    My favorites are....
Unshaken, Rains of Castemere, Ain't No Sunshine, Ghost Riders In The Sky.
Geoff clones himself 3-4 times for harmonies. Each with their own name.... Jeff, Jeoph, Goff and Daryl.
The first 3 got their names in his video, Way Down, when he portrayed 3 janitors and a supervisor. The names where supposed to be a joke about the way people mispronounc and misspell his name. But his fans made them permanent. It also helps him decide who's going to sing which parts of songs or dress in certain costumes.
When Geoff did Ghost Riders In The Sky he needed a name for the 4th clone and he liked the name Daryl.
Usually at least the 3 of them are in a video with him. However he does have several videos where he alone except for the background harmonies.
It's always best to watch his and Voiceplay videos to the very end. Especially his or Voiceplay ones he arranged as he adds short speeches and a little behind the scenes. Eli and Layne don't.

A really good video to see his live talent is “Elvira live at the Gordon performance centre” it’s not on the Voiceplay channel [Stacy Tee page] and is an audience member video but it is very worth the watch and it shows off their on stage personalities (very funny). It’s an older line up with J None and Earl but Geoff’s live talents are insane!

Geoff is the master of the subharmonic. Tim the master of the growl.

Ugh, how Tim does those growls so sustained is insane. I can do the technique, but only for short bursts. I can hold subharmonics for 20+ seconds... the growl, though, sheesh, Tim has to have unreal breath control... the technique uses a lot more escaping air than other techniques.

I am not a huge country fan so I don’t listen to Tim as much as I do Geoff , but the one that always blows me away is the one in zombies versus hillbillies. There’s a section where Tim sings in this crazy low voice and it’s hard to believe that the human voice can do that and still sound good. I know there are people who can go lower but they don’t sound as good to me. And then on top of it you guys can sing high also. It just ain’t fair!

I love his tutorials. There are three I think. Can you tell Geoff is Tim Fousts' number 1 fan

I suggest a youtuber David Larson vids "How to sing lower". Geoff also recommended them. Though I learned subharmonics by first learning Rock-screaming by singing along with Brian Johnson and Chester Bennington, and then lowering my voice down from falsetto. It did hurt a while when learning it, but if you do it slow and take pauses when it hurts, you can learn it in a month or two

I watched David’s video (the one hour one) and started trying to do it myself. I don’t have a deep voice and I have no musical training. So I’m sure I scared all the neighbors making these bizarre sounds in my house, but I actually achieved it once. I was so surprised that I stopped and I haven’t been able to do it again since😂.
As odd as it is to see Geoff with that deep voice (as opposed to when Earl sings in that crazy high voice) to see David sing in those low voices just threw me. He looks like he’s still in high school!

Welcome to one of the videos I used to help me sing deeper. I am already a low bass naturally (slight deeper than Geoff, actually), but Geoff's influence was a game-changer. I both learned I could sing MUCH deeper than my training allowed and much higher, as well. Geoff is such a major influence to the deep voice community, and he constantly downplays it. You cannot go into a bass singing chat without Geoff Castellucci, Tim Foust, or Avi Kaplan being mentioned at least once. Those three have been such a major influence it's not even funny.

You should also check out at least one of his narrations (you might not want to react to the longer ones).
