That’s an excellent choice. I think for me it is 3. The ending may be controversial but I loved the journey. Though I could easily make arguments for 1 and 2 as well.
This would obviously take a LOT more work but can you imagine if we got a completely revamped version of mass effect 1. Mass effect legendary edition did improve a lot of stuff to bring it up to par with 2 and 3 which is good but parts of it do still feel outdated.
I would have loved this. When the original rumours were going around about the legendary edition, part of me was hoping they would improve the gameplay elements. I would have really enjoyed seeing Mass Effect 1 with Andromeda’s combat/gunplay. As much as we can criticise Andromeda, I think it excels in its combat. I’m not disappointed with what we got but I too love to dream about what we could have had.
I understand that there is no better or worse, because I see the series as a whole, that is, the three games complement each other and cannot be analyzed in isolation, at least in terms of the story. And, this means that, in their own way, they all have their memorable moments that could not be explained in isolation.
Id probs still have me1 as my no 1 but I respect your ranking. Playing legendary edition now and the optional missions in 1 are a highlight for me, especially the Cerberus stuff that brilliantly kept them in the shadows building them up. Im also going to attempt to replay/complete Andromeda this time too as it has more good stuff then bad to be fair x.
I can definitely understand putting ME1 first, the mass effect games all have something that appeal to others and that’s why it’s one of the best series ever. Andromeda is definitely worth the playthrough, I agree that its strengths outweigh its faults. I hope you enjoy your replay!
I'm not sure how this happened but I had no idea what mass effect was until I played the legendary edition,I completely missed out on all 3 games when they originally released or knew very little about them.
Amazing video bro. I agree with you on half of these rankings. Mass effect 3 is the best , then 2 then 1 and andromeda falls short because the characters were so boring and I couldn’t really get into it as much. Romances were whatever too
Completely agree with your opinion. The characters in andromeda pale in comparison to anything in the original trilogy. I just simply preferred the gameplay in andromeda. Great ranking on your end though!
I tend to go for the perfect destroy ending each time. The endings have never bothered me as much as some just simply because I view the whole game as an ending.
This is one of the worst lists/videos I've ever seen! Not only was it a disgrace to put the first Mass Effect dead last (and thus behind Andromeda), but to put, what is basically the anti-RPG of the series, Mass Effect 3 at the top just goes to show that you need your head examined! From poor dialogue, lousy villains, a horrific script, a hokey attempt to make the playable character (which we should be in control of by the way) "more human", to the notorious end; Mass Effect 3 is no better than a DISTANT third!
Bit of an over exaggeration there pal 😂 I enjoy 3 immensely, and on any given day 2 could be my number one. However, I disagree with everything you said about 3. I can understand not liking it due to personal preference but I don’t think the writing, characters (villain or otherwise) or dialogue are any better or worse than any other game in the original trilogy. Does it have its faults story wise? Of course, but I still enjoyed it. I also think 3 has the best gameplay of the original trilogy which gives it the edge, as well as the great dlc we got such as Citadel. I can, however, understand frustrations about putting andromeda over 1. Mass Effect 1 has the far superior story, but the worst gameplay in the series in my opinion. I don’t think the argument is close in that regard. Andromeda has the best combat in the series while having a similar gameplay structure to 1. While its story is weaker and characters aren’t even close to matching what the original trilogy gave us, the gameplay is what put it above 1. You can disagree if you like but as with most games I play, review or rank, I’m judging on more than just one category as well as providing my opinion on personal enjoyment. Regardless, glad there was a discussion to be had despite the hostility.
@reverbium Anybody who puts Mass Effect 3 in their Top 2 can't be trusted! It's so much more dumbed down and simplistic compared to its predecessors! I'm one of the biggest Mass Effect fans in the world, and even I can't deny that ME3 is one of the (Top 10?) most overrated video games of all time!!

Better late than never. Glad you got to experience them, the Legendary Edition is definitely the best way to do so.

Gameplay wise I can agree. Story wise… nah 😂 and I think Andromeda is underrated. I can appreciate that opinion though.
