You provide wise words and clarity. Thank you for this and wow the power of technology to hear you and share this knowledge is just something we should all be grateful for.
I have yet to read this Sutra, but I really appreciate the idea of mastering your delusions and attachments. In way I find that more liberating than trying to reach a near-impossible state of being fully enlightened.
Every time I try to read the Lotus Sutra, I struggle with the accounts of the thousands of heavenly beings and Bodhisattvas and other Buddhas present at the discourse. Getting through the reading is such a daunting task for me. I just don’t understand it.
Your awareness of why you don't feel understand the Lotus Sutra seems to be already showing your understanding. You are aware one of the issues is about how to make sense of these heavenly beings and innumerable bodhisattvas and buddhas. Perhaps a good shortcut, for the sake of clarity, is to ignore all heavenly beings in the sutra. Regarding bodhisattvas and other Buddhas, they are also fulfilling peripheral role compared to the sutra's central ideas of one vehicle (Chapter 2) and eternal life of the Buddha (Chapter 16). If you start with focusing on these two concepts, the Lotus Sutra will be a bit easier to read and understand. After getting these central concepts, you can go back to the heavenly beings and so on. Here is a good starting point of achieving this: ua-cam.com/video/mSfajju4ogk/v-deo.html

Good stuff here, man. Bodhidharma elaborated on some of this (among other things) very well in the bloodstream sermon and the wake up sermon.
This channel should have millions subcribers
Thanks for your kind words. I am looking forward to doing more once I finish my degree this summer!

Great video!
PS: Tech advice: do not speak into the top of Blue Yeti mics. Point it away from your mouth and speak toward the side 👍🏻
