I know it might not be the same, but I’m talking to my ex best friend for the first time since I left, which was about 5 months ago. Was really worried and didn’t know what to say but this helped a lot!
My ex confessed he fell in love with me again after we hung out, he promised not to go cold after confessing that, the day after he ghosted me, when I confronted him he said he had “nothing to talk about” “it’s crazy that you expect me to act like ur bf” when usually he can’t go an hour without talking w me, calling me, he always called me baby, his love, and gm and gn texts for about 8 weeks. Now there’s absolutely nothing and when I hit him up he responds but then goes “do you need anything”. I’m so confused how he went from 100 to 0, should I do no contact? It’s been 3 weeks since he started going extremely cold.
Your comments are very logical! But, perhaps I have lost hope :(. My ex left the first time bc we were just too different. After 3 months he returned, said he had to be more open minded, and he had to change and grow up, I am more flexible than he was and am willing to compromise as long as my partner loves, respects me, and shows me affection. He came back, for a month, promised me the moon and stars, then overnight he changed his mind, said some very hurtful things, walked away without discussing it really, and it killed me for a second time! Hi coach Adrian I have a question!! I’ve been doing no contact and it really has helped me reflect on everything that has happened and how it can be fixed. I’ve been working on myself on changing like I said I would and I feel stronger now as well since not talking to him for almost a month. So my question is want to implement the basic 30 day no contact rule but I’m on day 23 right now which means day 30 will be on a Tuesday. I read that it’s best to text an ex during the weekend, preferably around early/late afternoon. Is this true? If so then should I text him on the 23rd(a Saturday) and risk ending no contact three days early, or should I wait for the weekend after no contact and do 34 days of no contact instead?
I think you should do what you truly feel is right. Are you ready to initiate? I know it's hard. If you think you're ready then go for it. But if you can wait a few extra days to gather more thoughts I'd recommend that too. There is really no difference in 30 and 34 days. Take those few extra days if you need to make sure you're fully ready. 😊

Hi coach... me and my ex got back in touch and we text with nice, happy and just general conversations everyday. After no contact I followed the advice of not mentioning the break up and keeping things light and positive, however it has been weeks now and I’m not sure exactly what to say or do from now? Hello I have a question about nocontact rule: In my cause I got a 2 year long distant relationship with a girl from another country. We loved each other but in one moment the physical contact just said its final words and 2 weeks ago she met someone new. She still doesnt know what to do and who to chose I gave her time to think about that but its hard to her. Should I break the connection with her and letting her in no contact or Should wait her to chose him and then do the nocontact rule. Whats the better option? You and your associates focus too much on us “changing” and growth. My ex and I broke up because he couldn’t get over the fear of sharing his millions. I was never after his money but he couldn’t let his guard down. So you shouldn’t assume so often that the person doing no contact needs to change.
Hi Coach Adrian, my girlfriend broke up with me in the beginning of August because I broke a promise with her. I had no guidance within the first week of the break up so I did some damage by texting her non stop for 1 day then sending flowers and letters on other days. Once I found these videos, I tried to apply the no contact rule and only broke once with a simple text. I haven't talked to her since. I have gotten out of my moping phase and finally am back on my feet (some days are better than others) and am being more successful in resisting the urge to contact her. Where can I see this structure and, based on the information I gave you on my relationship, when do you think I should send her this letter? We've been together for a year and a half and have been broken up for close to 4 weeks now. The no contact rule has been applied for 3 weeks now and has only been broken twice. 3 weeks no-contact, broken twice? That's not no-contact if you are breaking it! Just stop contacting her AT ALL. Maybe for a few months because you already did some damage. It may surprise her that you have this sudden self-control and she might reach out. If you are constantly chasing her she knows you are an option so she doesn't need to pursue you. Think about when she broke up with you - your interest in her doubled as a result. Remove your attention from her and you may have the same effect of increasing her interest in you. Really think of no-contact as your only option. What's the alternative - keep chasing someone who doesn't want you? Especially as a man (I assume) you're expected to have a lot more control of your emotions. I contacted my ex bf a couple times after the breakup within the first month, but he didn't respond and I stopped. Now I have been in no-contact for 2 months and have no desire to contact him at all - at some point you realize the best thing you can do is no-contact. Otherwise they just think "Thank god I broke up with this person, they're crazy, they can't leave me alone." Good luck!

Another popular theory of no-contact seems to be you can NEVER contact your ex again. You just need to wait for them to contact you. I'm thinking this makes more sense, especially if they are the one who broke up with you. If you are always reaching out to them every few months or whatever after no contact they know you're still an option. When you really go no-contact forever they question if you are still an option and apparently this almost guarantees they will get in touch with you - no way to be sure how soon though, some exes may take years to reach out. Art of Love on UA-cam explains this theory in her no-contact video.

Hi coach Adrian I have a question!! I’ve been doing no contact and it really has helped me reflect on everything that has happened and how it can be fixed. I’ve been working on myself on changing like I said I would and I feel stronger now as well since not talking to him for almost a month. So my question is want to implement the basic 30 day no contact rule but I’m on day 23 right now which means day 30 will be on a Tuesday. I read that it’s best to text an ex during the weekend, preferably around early/late afternoon. Is this true? If so then should I text him on the 23rd(a Saturday) and risk ending no contact three days early, or should I wait for the weekend after no contact and do 34 days of no contact instead?
I think you should do what you truly feel is right. Are you ready to initiate? I know it's hard. If you think you're ready then go for it. But if you can wait a few extra days to gather more thoughts I'd recommend that too. There is really no difference in 30 and 34 days. Take those few extra days if you need to make sure you're fully ready. 😊

Hi coach... me and my ex got back in touch and we text with nice, happy and just general conversations everyday. After no contact I followed the advice of not mentioning the break up and keeping things light and positive, however it has been weeks now and I’m not sure exactly what to say or do from now? Hello I have a question about nocontact rule: In my cause I got a 2 year long distant relationship with a girl from another country. You and your associates focus too much on us “changing” and growth. My ex and I broke up because he couldn’t get over the fear of sharing his millions. I was never after his money but he couldn’t let his guard down. So you shouldn’t assume so often that the person doing no contact needs to change.

Hi Coach Adrian, my girlfriend broke up with me in the beginning of August because I broke a promise with her. I had no guidance within the first week of the break up so I did some damage by texting her non stop for 1 day then sending flowers and letters on other days. Once I found these videos, I tried to apply the no contact rule and only broke once with a simple text. I haven't talked to her since. I have gotten out of my moping phase and finally am back on my feet (some days are better than others) and am being more successful in resisting the urge to contact her. Where can I see this structure and, based on the information I gave you on my relationship, when do you think I should send her this letter? We've been together for a year and a half and have been broken up for close to 4 weeks now. The no contact rule has been applied for 3 weeks now and has only been broken twice. 3 weeks no-contact, broken twice? That's not no-contact if you are breaking it! Just stop contacting her AT ALL. Maybe for a few months because you already did some damage. It may surprise her that you have this sudden self-control and she might reach out. If you are constantly chasing her she knows you are an option so she doesn't need to pursue you. Think about when she broke up with you - your interest in her doubled as a result. Remove your attention from her and you may have the same effect of increasing her interest in you. Really think of no-contact as your only option. What's the alternative - keep chasing someone who doesn't want you? Especially as a man (I assume) you're expected to have a lot more control of your emotions. I contacted my ex bf a couple times after the breakup within the first month, but he didn't respond and I stopped. Now I have been in no-contact for 2 months and have no desire to contact him at all - at some point you realize the best thing you can do is no-contact. Otherwise they just think "Thank god I broke up with this person, they're crazy, they can't leave me alone." Good luck!

Another popular theory of no-contact seems to be you can NEVER contact your ex again. You just need to wait for them to contact you. I'm thinking this makes more sense, especially if they are the one who broke up with you. If you are always reaching out to them every few months or whatever after no contact they know you're still an option. When you really go no-contact forever they question if you are still an option and apparently this almost guarantees they will get in touch with you - no way to be sure how soon though, some exes may take years to reach out. Art of Love on UA-cam explains this theory in her no-contact video.
