I have a 2007 Corsa 1.7 CDTI and i suffered these exact same symptoms. Engine would not run smooth at all, it would cut out most of the time however sometimes it wouldnt for about a week then it would cut like 5 times a day. Sometimes it would have power, sometimes not! The ecu was showing any codes and the car would hesitate a lot. At first, i thought it might have been the ecu had gotten damp as it is located underneath the windscreen but this wasnt it. So i went on months and months trying to figure what it could be; it was so stressful and annoying. Until i saw this video, you have no idea how much this video has helped me out!!! Thank you so so much!! Without you and this video i would have still had my Corsa cutting out and all sorts. I can not thank you any more!! You have saved me so much money and i am so thankful. Very often the mechanic replace the hole dieselpump, which there is no need for. Symptoms with mine astra 1,7cdti faulty SCV was: First rough at idle, goes up and down. Then as time goes by, other problem are added. A sound i heard. It sounds like at poliececar when cold - uuuuii, uuuuiii, which many suspect is the generator, but is not, its the scv. At the end, when cold, it starts well and then stalls. Hard to start and then goes into limpmode. When warm, problems mostly goes away.
Solved my issue with thanks to your video. Have had a problem of stalling and intermittent lack of power on the throttle. Disconnected SCV and although sounded like a tractor, was not hunting anymore. New SCV required. Many thanks
@@mike14099 The connector has a rocker type lock you squeeze and i used a screwdriver to help pry the connector off. Just changed my SCV again as i was having a different problem to the last time. The engine wasn't hunting but would stall ,and had a dead peddle and would need to be switched off and on again to restart it. All done and running fine. Quite a simple job, hardest part is keeping the O ring on when offering up the new part

So i have the same problem, the same sound. Opel told me it is SCV, but there is another error, 30104, misfire in the first cylinder. Is there a chance to be this problem and the ECU shows misfire?!
After replacing my SCV on my astra J 1.7 (i used Denso the original part) i turned the key to ignition and the "dpf is full please continue driving" icon poped up...any ideas why that happened?

Only ever happens at traffic lights or when im im traffic but I'll go to pull off and just no power and if i keep my foot on the pedal for long enough it will stall the engine. I get around it either by releasing my foot off the gas and give to 15-20 seconds or i switch my engine on and off and its back to normal driving. Any ideas. Ive been advised it is the SCV but my idle is fairly normal. The revs bounce maybe once every few minutes if im just sitting there. However i can always tell when im about to have problems pulling off because the engine noise will rumble rather than hummm if you get what i mean. So many mechanics looked at it and said it could be this is could be that but i wanted to know your thoughts. Many thanks.

Just done this on my car which fixed the surging at idle. I have opcom but cannot find any options to reprogramme anything diesel or fuel related. Car seems to be fine. Is it necessary to reprogramme? Thanks.
To update. Replacing the scv fixed the surging, but the engine sounded rough, clicking/knocking. I paid a local mechanic to reset/relearn the fuel control and it is working fine and quiet now. So for my car, the ecu had to be reprogrammed.

My Zafira 2010 still cut off after 1.30 min (just when the lights turns green). I've changed 2 SCV valves (£45 from ebay). I might want to know the procedure explained at 1:54 min programming fuel dosage . My actual mpg it is: 43.3 using redex regurarly and dpf cleanner on motorways + forced DPF cleaning using OPCOM. Please advice if you can :-)

I changed the scv, the engine calmed down a bit but still it isn’t working properly, do you have any idea what it is?

what is the difference between Z19DT and Z19DTH
z19dt is 8V 120hp, z19dth is 16V 150hp I much prefer the old-school 8V with inlet manifold issues
