What a bloke you are mate. Returning the ring to that gentleman and his hands shaking made me so happy that he’s been reunited with his ring that means so much to him. Keep up the good work. Cheers mate.
Congratulations on your finds. Reuniting the owner with their lost ring is a reward in itself. I was called out on July 4th for a lost diamond engagement/wedding band set for a young woman who lives out of state. I found her ring around 40 minutes after my arrival with my Equinox 800. I’m always glad that I can help. 👍
What a great service you provide to people in need!! Thankfully I opted for a $500 wedding band. I told my wife there's no way we are wasting $ on a ring I likely will lose. I've lost it probably 10 times, not worrying about it I somehow I keep finding it lol. Keep up the great work!
That's so awesome..great job searching.. I found a class ring that was lost for a little over 21 yrs..it took me a little over a year to track the owner down...he was so happy and thought he would never see it again..what a great feeling...🙂😄
Well done! Restores faith in humanity. I was at a beach a few years ago, saw a lady approach a detectorist, crying & begging for his help. He gave it a few swings and gave up. I did notice he triangulated the position. We went and got a rake, helped her locate it. I’m sure he was disappointed when he came back. I’m just getting back into hobby, going on my FIRST beach hunt this weekend in Galveston with my new Nokta
Nice recovery. So 4 weeks after you filmed this, I’m 2 hours north of this area on vacation and it’s windy, wavy and no clear water so I’m dry sand hunting the powder sugar sand and I find a silver St Christopher protect us pendant, a silver ring and 3 bling rings over two days. Keep up the great content. Happy hunting 😊
I love hearing the families in the background having fun and playing together in the water. I remember that feeling on vacation and it’s like there are no cares in the world. Being in the moment. No distractions. Just friends and family having a good time.

It's such a great feeling when someone does a good deed for others. My wife, mother in law and myself were in the drug store. I happened to look down and found a diamond in the rug. They asked what I found and I showed them and told them. I went to the counter and asked if anyone lost a diamond in the store. The first thing out of the cashier's mouth was, 'oh my God you found it.' Apparently a customer was in the store and the stone fell out of the setting. I saw quite a few fish, right in among the people swimming. There is a beach near me, that is popular in the summer, it would have as many people again per square meter as were in your clip. It is one of the only beaches in the city that has sand and shell base. And I fish there year round, just turn up right on dusk, and fish for an hour, on the rising tide. And in the summer, there will still be heaps of people swimming even after dusk, and I catch really nice fish just feet away from them. :) Usually what happens is people laugh when they see me bait up, and say "MATE !. You can't think you are going to catch a fish HERE". And I almost always catch two or three keepers, and smile at them. The fish are just so used to people swimming, that it is as if there is no one there.

19:20 I know they appreciate it and I know you love what you do man I would be crying and hugging you , so ecstatic I feel like they were underwhelmed but I am overwhelmed with your kindness! I have a long story how I lost just the stone out of my diamond in the prongs I was out shopping all day long at the mall at several stores with my kids getting ready for a trip to Disney well I got in the car at midnight and I went to Walmart when I got there my parents were both there one with a broom one crawling on the floor looking for it. I went to where I tried some flip-flops on and there it was after the Zamboni thing and everything came through I found this lonely diamond on the floor in Wal mart at 1 am. Life lesson, you'll never know unless you try
I just found your videos about 3 days ago. I absolutely love watching what you do and how you reunite people with their cherished possessions. I’m curious also, what beach is this? You show some very beautiful beaches. I live in southeast Alabama and one day would love to move somewhere beautiful in Florida. I was just wondering if when you are making your videos, could you tell us where you are and what beach you are at? I love to Google different areas and see what they are like and if they are possibly someplace I would like to visit or live. Keep up the wonderful things you are doing.
Hey Jenny. I don't always share my locations because so many people metal detect these days. A lot of them want to search where I search. If I go out and someone had just been there metal detecting, I won't be able to make a video of me finding nothing. If it's a beach that I don't regularly frequent, I'll usually say where I am.
@@DetectFlorida That is very understandable. I never even thought if that. I do enjoy watching your videos and seeing what hidden treasure you find next. Have a wonderful day!
I can watch this all day. I lost my wedding band in my garage, and a month later found it, was in the garage door track, standing on its side, so I would have never noticed it with the garage door closed. When I retire, I would love to get a decent detector and do this, those guys in the Aussie outback finding those gold nuggets, wow, I assume it’s not fake.
I just found your channel, you are such a gentleman and have such integrity. I bought my husband a metal detector several years ago and he has fun with his.
Nice job on the finds. He was happy to get that ring back and his wife. Something i do when I'm in water swimming or playing, is switch my ring to my middle finger.
Love your video definately a new subber, how nice that clear water you detect in..!! I was recently at the CA beach morro Bay and that water sure throws you around was next to difficult hunting in it!! Thanks again for the video.. you are very noble thank you..
@@DetectFlorida I get the look on their faces part. I don't do anything as good as you but I'm setup to restore vintage cast iron. 100 year old cast iron can get pretty nasty and hard to clean for the average person. They'll have grandmas skillet but it looks like Fido's butt and they've already tried to wash it and given up. I'll put in into the electrolysis tank and 12 hours later it'll be stripped down to gray iron ready to be re-seasoned and used. They'll be in disbelief, I've had some to say "that's not mine". I usually don't charge anything unless there are several pieces. We aren't changing the world but if everyone would do something nice the world would change. That's why I appreciate what you do, it makes a difference.
Amen for people like you that are still in the world trying to help others, was literally flabbergasted when you didn’t even take the money that was offered. Right on brother
I have two silver rings spinners just like the white gold ring good job reuniting people with lost treasures that have sentimental value it’s hard sometimes losing the things you love
That’s amazing, great job. What a kind person you are. It’s seems crazy in this day and age but to a lot of us our wedding rings are so special. I would ugly cry if I lost mine after wearing them for 35 years. What beach was this, the sand and water are gorgeous. Job well done
Thank you!!! There's a lot of other people out there that do what I do, too! Most do it for money, and I get that. But it's SO much fun to go out on a mission and accomplish it!! Unfortunately, I don't give out locations much anymore. A lot of other detectorists follow my channel and want to hunt where I hunt. I want to keep making videos, but I can't if I go to the beach and other detectorists cleaned it out already
@@DetectFlorida I totally get that. I do not have the patience to do what you do. I’m a sit in the sad looking for shells kinda girl that’s why I was wondering the beach the sand looked nice and the water clear. I find my good shells right at the edge of the water. Now I understand why my Mom did it all those years with my children. My Grandchildren want me to take them and teach them how to shell
First time watching your channel and I'm blown away by how awesome your heart is! God bless you for doing what you do. Glad you found that other great ring! I'll be tuning in frequently. Where in Florida are you located? We are in Clearwater.
I pretty much only show the good finds. I normally don't show the piles of trash that I get out of the water. It usually takes a lotttt of digging to pull out a couple of pieces of nice jewelry
@DetectFlorida BORING? Are you NUTS!!! I watch magnet fishing videos for the satisfying amount of trash they haul out of our water! Dooooooo iiiiiiiit!!!!
@DetectFlorida I am from Missouri. Terrified of the water and boats (long story) but I spent 3 months in Fort Lauderdale for Aeronautics school MANY years ago. Stayed really close to the beach. I went almost every afternoon after class and hung out under the lifeguard tower to study. Used to pick up trash as I found it. Broken glass too.
I was impressed that when you found the white gold ring, you didn't do it for the money. That for me, is a good example. Thank you for sharing.

Just wondering where that beach was? That was BEAUTIFUL!
Nicely done!!! Congratulations 🎈🎊🎉🍾
Thank you!
Really appreciate you sharing the finds my wife and I live in Knoxville tn but we travel to the beach alot going back in August
There's soooo much gold in Australia. That would be fun and all, but I love finding jewelry!(even though I never wear any😂)
Well done. That was great to watch. I'm a TH'er myself and you are doing fantastic.
Thanks!!! Been doing it for about a decade now. It never gets old!
I just found your channel, you are such a gentleman and have such integrity. I bought my husband a metal detector several years ago and he has fun with his.
Thank you!! I hope he has lots of luck out there metal detecting!
So sweet to help like that. I love finding things for people..
Ahhh, the wonderful feeling of recovery! Great job!
Its the best! Thank you!!
Wow! The finding but what I couldn't take my eyes off was how clear the ocean water was, so crystal clear, so beautiful❤
It was a very unusually beautiful day out there! I didn't want to leave!
Nice job on the finds. He was happy to get that ring back and his wife. Something i do when I'm in water swimming or playing, is switch my ring to my middle finger.
Watching you and this video has just made my day ! Thank you ! I am now a subscriber !
What a great feeling to find and return someone’s possessions. Well done friend
Love your video definately a new subber, how nice that clear water you detect in..!! I was recently at the CA beach morro Bay and that water sure throws you around was next to difficult hunting in it!! Thanks again for the video.. you are very noble thank you..
It's a rare surprise to show up to the beach and its that beautiful! I didn't want to leave!
You’re a better man than most! A true steward of your fellow man!
You earned my Sub!
Hero Hero! You got him off the couch! Lol. That looks like fun. I want my hubby to get us a detector. I think his dad might have one too!!
It's such a fun hobby!!
This is such a nice service that you offer and the look on their faces is priceless.
I love what I do!
Nice beach can find something inside in the beach
Thank you for great sharing my friend
Patriots Pier at Siesta Key does have a lot of lost jewelry. It's a very popular beach with tourists.
First time watching your channel and I'm blown away by how awesome your heart is! God bless you for doing what you do. Glad you found that other great ring! I'll be tuning in frequently. Where in Florida are you located? We are in Clearwater.
Thanks for hooking me up on Digging It Detectors, I bought one yesterday!
That's awesome!!! What did you get?
You are always killin it Shawn! I always enjoy your videos.
Thanks Scott!!!! Hope you're doing well!!
It just amazes me how much jewelry u find and also that people would even wear jewelry into the water. tfs
I pretty much only show the good finds. I normally don't show the piles of trash that I get out of the water. It usually takes a lotttt of digging to pull out a couple of pieces of nice jewelry
That water is so clear. Beautiful for swimming!
Dang!! You make me want to start a new hobby!!! And you have a new subscriber!!!😊😉😂🙏🏻❤️
Thank you!! I have to warn you, its incredibly addictive once you start finding good things!
Just found your channel and probably on the best day you’ve had in a while. But, in any event, I’ve subscribed and liked. Great finds!
Thank you!!! This was definitely a better day than normal! haha
Wow! That is awesome. I wish you were around here when my ring fell off in the ocean.
Congrats Brother!!! Just good Kharma for being a great guy! Super hunt and vid!!!! Very nice Shawn!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!!!!
I love how metal detector enthusiasts also pick up and remove trash from the beaches. Very much appreciated.
I feel like I should show that side of metal detecting more. I know its boring to watch people dig up trash, but we find LOTS of it!
