This jewelry is so silly 99% of people could not tell if it was costume or real most really wealthy people don't waste their money on this stuff it's frivolous to a ridiculous degree. The entertainment value is in the cartoonish nature of Jacob who is in on the joke of how ridiculous this jewelry is.

@@brandonjones5096 Swiss watchmakers (where Jacob's factory is based) make 60-100k USD a year on average, in a country with a strong social safety net. I would not describe that as "scraping by", especially as it requires vocational training and not a college degree with large amount of debt.

I’m literally wondering who buys these stones. Let’s be real to buy a 30 million dollar ring you have to be a multi multi Billionaire. So the circle of people who can afford this jewelry is really really tiny. And the next question is what are you actually doing with it? You can’t wear it in public. Even in Monaco or Dubai. Just imagine what kind of insurance you’d need for jewelry like this. It’s almost unbelievable that these pieces actually sell and that it gets worn. Even Saudi princesses can only wear and buy so much. It’s not like this is a continuous business. I’d love to see videos of people who actually buy this.

i think there are more people than you think that can afford these!!! People buy them as investments, they are called hard assets.
People who buys this kind of jewelry don't event wear it. It's just like an investment and parking money. Jacob mentioned that some stones are impossible to buy right now, so imagine how price will grow in the future. To find a person to sell this pieces to, is super hard, but you'll never know how who buys them.
Oligarchs (pre-2022), Middle-East Royalty, companies as an investment, movie stars for the red carpet/award shows (e.g. Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Jlaw etc. have had very similar ones) and overall there are ~2600 billionaires in the world and if even if 10% would be customer this is still 260 people and their spouses. And you don't even need to be billionaire, there are multiples of people relative to billionaires with $500m-$1b who can easily afford some of these

I love my watches but Stones have always been my first love, this is just amazing and for jacob to show these is such a privilege to watch. Being Australian I am particularly enamoured of the Pink Diamonds as there is a better than average chance that they came from the Argyle Mine in Western Australian.

But Peter Marco actually has affordable stuff that looks good and can be worn. These items in this video are simply outrageous. Ok, lots of it was women stuff. But even disregarding the price, the only thing that looked cool was the sapphire bracelet and the cufflinks. The rest were just huge stones!

Although I lost track, my eyes did light up again at the sapphire bracelet. Simply a spectacular color along with the number of stones and the matching of them. But still, the deep blue color mesmerized me. If I had the money, that bracelet would be in my vault instead of Jacob's.

Those prices are so you can embezzle money out of the country watches jewelry and art of the three ways to skip out on taxes and to get money from one country to another without getting taxed. You buy this ring for 20 million here. Go to another country. Sell it. Probably lose a few percent and then you have that money and the other country. I know a bunch of people who do this

Thing is the mega wealthy who have more money than sense want the rarer materials just because of rarity. Yes there are many diamonds but only a few are perfect and matching perfect stones gets tough. So that's where these stones hold their value. Pure rarity of the perfect stones.
You guys should do more jewelry videos but at more attainable price points. I'd love to see fancy diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and paraibas in the $5k-30k range, kinda like you do with your watch videos.
