This inspires me to do my own van trip. The rawness of the vlog gave us a real glimpse of potential issues we could face. Really great and enjoyable video.
G'day guys. Try to get into a habit of setting up a table and chairs outside. Also invest in butane cartridge stove around $30.00 at kmart or woolies to cook outside. It will add variations to your dining experience
Great video, with a natural feel to it. Good photography and I am sure as the trip continues, so will your experience. Just a side note that many people do not realize . When turning on a gas bottle you only need half a turn, it is not like a tap. In an emergency it is only half a turn off. The valve does not need to be opened fully. Drive safe.
Great video guys! I watch a few travel vlogs and this is one of the best! Love the detail and all the places you stop at, meals etc Plus an hour long is great! Can't wait for the next one. Keep having fun guys and never forget how lucky you are to have each other 😊
Did a Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney trip a couple of years ago. In February so I didn't take any winter clothing. After my first night in Adelaide, the first thing I did in the morning was go buy a jumper. Then the weather warmed up, and it was several months before I needed warm clothing. The temperature can be unpredictable in Australia.
I am from Indonesia and a fan of your journeys. I do hope u gain more and more subscribers (maybe activate the auto generated Indonesian translation to reach more Indonesian audience that can't speak English?) . Really like your videos. And this one is one of the best 👍❤ Can't wait for the next episodes!
@@project_where The sink hole in SA where you both walked down to touch the water. When I was there here was no stairs or man made platform, we jumped in and had to climb back up. It is something I will never forgot. SA gets very hot in Jan/Feb and I remember that it was in the 40s that particular day. No one ventured to far away from the edge. Enjoy your travels and I look forward to watching many more :)
Try to get a used Mercedes T1N sprinter van. Get the year before 2006 and older. Its diesel engine is very reliable. You can still get those from Europe.
@@project_where I own two of these vans. Give you about over 28mpg. They call this Mercedes engine a million-mile engine. In the Middle East or African countries, you will see old Mercedes 300ds that have been driven for more than a million miles.
I've been looking into vanlife for the last 8 years... haven't pulled the trigger yet because my wife refuses to 💩 in a bucket. Basic cargo vans run $40K-$70K. At the upper end you can get a Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 cargo van. To build it out, there are companies that can do it for $20K (minimal) to $80K (pretty nice). One like yours that is built out will run $120K-$180K (new). US pricing. If you don't mind not standing you can build out a minivan, you have a HiAce in Aus? These are not as comfy and probably best for 1 person.
Thanks for the insight! We’re in the same boat, torn between saving by going secondhand (loads of options on Facebook Marketplace) and the risk of repair costs, which aren’t cheap here. New, pre-built vans are pricey, so we’re leaning toward a DIY build. It’ll definitely be time-consuming, but honestly, I think it might be fun?!🙃
I liked the content very much. It s something I want to do. How much was the van per day or week so we can figure expenses or will you post that later? Enjoy. Take care of each other.
Hey! It depends on where you’re headed and how long you’re renting for. Just hit the link below the video to check out the site we used and see prices for dates that work for you ☺️
checked the site. so it is roughly $500 a day for a minimum of 10 days. That's quite some money. That said, you save the bill for a room, which is roughly $100 a night. You can cook in the van, which, in Australia, could be more expensive.
@ mate my comment was based on the bit where they left their shoes on the grass so as not to mess up the van. I did see their shoes inside eventually - so all good :)

Very entertaining. So much cinematic technique setting up shots to show walking away and then after going back for the camera.
What an amazing episode guys! We're SO thrilled you enjoyed the van life!
An amazing episode thanks to your wonderful campervan☺️🚐

The Umpherston sinkhole looks amazing and is something different. Great road trip.

Very beautiful. Thank you.
Hi have been there many years ago and it is beautiful in summer on a 44 degree day

Awesome Legends 😁
Mount Gambier!! Lots of Vietnamese settling over there back in 1970?
Three weeks of joy.. not sure about any time after that.. be safe out there
Hi guys.
Depends on how much money you have dertermimes the van you can purchase
Safe travels
it's Inspirational. 👍
Epic guy's!!!

Won’t it break down often if it’s from before 2006? It sounds like it’s a bit of an older car

That's my favorite Laksa, too! They make it with whole grain also. Love both. Don't over cook the whole grain noodles.
It is the best!! 😄
Love it
Are you coming to Brisbane? I'll show you both around

Yeah, we have a solar panel right on the roof of the campervan, it’s super convenient!!

Love ❤ from vietnam
Come to Perth. We have cookies 😂
Easier to buy a complete done one than doing your own trust me
Did you tried to make it by yourself?
i'm hoping the romance of van life doesn't wear off after a few weeks. maybe if you're forced to live in one for years then it surely will
Justin is time to workout😆😆
Make sure y’all check your shoes for spiders 😅
😁😁😁🕷️🕸️
That said, it is easier to find one in a house than a van.
