I agree on having excitement. In fact, our physical response to being nervous and being excited are usually similar (or the same), so train yourself to respond to the feelings as excitement as opposed to nerves.

Awesome tips on what to do on your first day at a new job! I agree that preparation is probably one of the best ways to handle anxiety. Besides, there’s no difference between being anxious and being excited: if you put the right label on the sensations you feel in your body and you believe that you’re excited, it will change your whole mindset and help you be more present as a result. 🌸
So true, Simona! It's all in how you look at it, and a positive outlook can give you just the confidence you need for your first day at work. Preparation is absolutely key- if you're prepared, there's no room for those nerves, only for excitement! Thanks for watching and for giving some more insight on the topic. Wishing you all the best in your career. Cheers!
*Hey Adrianna, first day of work is like the first day of school. Bring your A-game. I avoid office gossip like the plague. I love your figurines at the back. You are so much fun. I think we're gonna be friends.😊*

Yes! A little preparation goes a long way, especially on your first day at work - I'm sure you know this all too well as a professional organizer. Which of these tips was your favourite to prepare for a great first day at work?
It's true - if you intentionally observe all that's going on around you, you can actually learn quite a bit from it - especially on your first day at work, when it's all brand new! Cheers!
That's great! So often, introducing yourself to new people is the dreaded part of a new job or networking - I'm glad you find joy in it and truly appreciate getting to know new people and make new friends. Cheers!
I like meating new people...but going to work with some expectation to deliver is stressing. Expecialy if its first job at that field and you invested much to get that opportunity...
I'm just watching this to see how is it different from my own perspective, having to start a new job in 3 days time after almost 15 years employed in a previous company. My approach leading to my first day is: I don't care what they think of me, I will do my job to the best of my ability but I'm open to being fired after a month or so and find another. I'm done stressing about this in my younger days so now I'm in my 50s and starting a new senior position, I view it as hire me then fire me, it won't matter, I will make friends and be super enthusiastic about the job, but at the end of the day, my mindset is, I'm going to resign after a year anyway if they don't fire me, so go ahead! :) 1. Survive the first day... 2. Survive the first week... 3. Survive the first month... Then anything goes from there...

For that reason I feel nervous, how do I work in a space with older people as an 18 year old? I like diving into things as unprepared as possible that way I will come across more spontaneous but I guess some preparation wont hurt this time around
Hi Jelle, thanks for watching. Taking the time to prepare will not only increase your confidence, but will also show your competence right out of the gate. Would love to hear how your first day goes. All the best, cheers!

Hi Husain, I hope that the first day on your new job was amazing and that these first day a work tips were helpful. Thank you for tuning in and I would love to hear how it went, cheers!
I start a new job on the 26th. I plan to bring a notebook, pen, Confu but professional shoes ( in case we do a lot of walking), lunch ( just in case) and to break the ice…swing by Krispy Kreme and pick up a dozen of donuts. I’ve already scoped out my colleagues FB pages.
Wishing you all the best on your first day! Thanks for sharing and watching, cheers!
I can't wait to start tomorrow. I guess cov19 ruin most things we don't shake hands anymore😂

Ms Adriana quick tips ☺️😁 , what is the best word ( teach you ) or ( train you ) ?
Since every employee and situation will be different, you need to trust your gut and read the situation. There is no right or wrong choice. Hope this helps. Cheers!
I start my first job ever next monday, and I am so scared of not doing okey. On the interview other people typed so fast on their keyboards, and I was like "oh no"
Wishing you all the best in your first day! Cheers!
How's it going?
@@_Mayibongwe stopped after 1 week. That job was crazy
Great advice Adriana!
Thank you! Which first day at work tip was your favourite?
I try to avoid gossip at all costs. Its crazy because people try to bring you into it. One coworker told me about a weirdo who worked at our job and a Manager who was trans. I just soaked up the info and didn't repeat it to anyone. Its so hard but thats why I don't talk a whole lot 😂.
You definitely made the right choice! Thanks for watching, cheers!
