Hey UncleMark, appreciate your videos. I have a 2013 ram 1500 that I bought in 2020, the seller let me know the drivers side heat doesnt work before buying it. He was thinking the heater core needed replaced but didnt want to rip the dash out to do it. After doing some research, I think I may have it figured out (not fixed). So, my truck just has the single climate control and works fine in the summer with the AC blowing cold on both sides. I found some images showing that there are 5 blend doors for various features of the climate control: recirculation, foot vents, defrost vent, passenger vents and drivers vents. My guess is that the actuator for the drivers vents is stuck in one position. This allows the AC to work just fine in the summer, but in the winter its only able to blow a few degrees above ambient. I googled "2013 Ram 1500 vent schematic" and found some good graphics. I have access through work to get my hands on a bore scope with remote control tip, perhaps I will shove that in my driver side vents to see if I can see the particular blend door and prove that it is/isn't working.

Any idea about the problem I have
I own a 2013 express 2wd and my ac setup is exactly the same as in the video
One knob for power or strength one for hot cold and one for what vents it blows out of
Normally when I turn the knob all the way red and I turn the power or strength knob one notch to turn it on I have to press the power knob to make the little orange light come on so it actually blows hot air if the orange ac light doesn’t come on when it’s on heat it’ll blow mostly cold mildly warm air
The orange light comes on automatically when my temperature is on cold but when it’s on the heat I press the “power or strength” knob and the orange light turns on and it goes from mildly warm to toasty
When my truck is on the heat and I try to press the ac power knob the light doesn’t come on and it blows mildly cold air
I’m a cheap ass and don’t wanna go to the dealership so any response would be much appreciated
