I used to hang out in this zone extra long just to savor the song. There's a few tracks in this game with really great guitars, this is one of the best

I had thought i went and did everything possible, until i finally discovered soul of wolf. And found out that even that wasnt enough to really get over the bridge. It was then that i realized i missed something horrible obvious. I literally quit playing, when i had about 3 months into the game. Then didnt pick it up for several years. idk, 5-10 years. Of course his was all before internet. So by the time i figured out how to get bat and mist, i was such a high level, i literally cleared the entire rest of the game without a single problem. I already had duplicator because i had jewel sword and figured, as long as i was stuck i might as well grind for fun. So i had the most powerful item before i even got to the first potential ending. of course, i got the best ending first time, but i had to go back and do it the wrong ways to see all the endings. because when you're THAT over leveled, with that kind of OP gear set, you literally are god. so in a way, it was bad, because it kinda broke the game. Everything became too easy once i got the power to fly. But at the same time, now i dont struggle at all in my replays. I mean, i think i beat the entire game in about 2 hours now? I know there are speed runs much faster, but i dont speed run, and it still only takes a coupel hours. Which just goes to show that games are vastly more fun the first times you play it because you dont know everything yet, you take your time, but now, i already know everything and have experienced it, so i just kidna, you know, kill everything, instead of jacking off with fun little tactics, i just use the most efficient method i have at the time, ive done other runs where i limited myself to specific items though just for fun. this game is one of those that is just so fucking fun, you'll play it over and over even though its essentially the same every time. Yeah idk how i kept missing the soul items. once i got wolf, i got all the others really fast, compared to the MONTHS i spent playing without getting past even the bridge lmao. buts its also true now that we have internet, pretty much every game is pathetically easy, because anytime you get stuck for even 15 seconds you can just google the answer in about 15 more seconds. crazy. tahts why i prefer to play games without internet, but now theres all these online multiplayer rpgs and shit which require you to use the most effective methods to be competitive, always gotta follow the meta. wonder if we'll get a castlevania game in that vain.

This reminds me of that one time that someone on r/whowouldwin posted a prompt asking how the plot of Salem's Lot would change if Alucard/Genya Arikado was placed on the good guy's team and I replied that this was fucking overkill.
This version could have been one of the most amazing ones, but: 1) The guitar chords before the "Chorus" are wrong 2) No trumpets in the final chorus 3) Half of the bridge just before the solo is missing and some chord progression too, it really kills the build-up Other than those three crucial parts I think that this is a good version, nice choice of instruments
