Installing a new Yamaha 704 Remote Control and performing boat maintenance

In this episode we help out a friend fix the tilt/trim on his Tahoe. We will also work on the Yamaha outboard on our Cape Horn changing the gear oil in the lower unit then we will replaced a roached out throttle cable and install a new Yamaha 704 Remote Control.

I want to see you hook the cables up on the control

Hey George, hooking up the throttle & shift cables in the 704 remote control was very similar to how I hooked up the replacement throttle cable on the motor side. The end of the cable is designed to sit in the grooves then the black cable joint connector will sit on the stud the get secured but the c-clip. There is a quick clip of this in the video, but thats why I didn't go much into detail since both sides of the cable hook ups were very similar. As for the electrical wire harness it was just a quick connect. Thanks or stopping by the channel & I hope this video helped you out!
