Bring an extra pair of shorts if you eat gas station sushi. enough said
YOOOOO! 😂🎉
🍀 hahaha oh my god you're so brave for sharing this lesson you learned
Best Video yet!!! You both are so happy and excited , you can hear it in your voices and see on our faces!! Just drive defensively. ALWAYS.. 😎🥰❤
Thanks mom ❤
I have a Trident 660 and plan on getting the 765 RS as well in a year or so.
My lesson on the road is watch out for the crosswalk paint at intersections. It's a lot more slick than you think. Even when it's dry. Had a bit of a scare and thankfully didn't dump the bike.
Congrats on two beautiful machines!
Thank you! Yes, it's wild the things you see & feel on the road that you never know about in a car, just like your example of the three-inch-thick road paint for crosswalks and lines 🙌
What a great video, I could feel the excitement 😊
Congratulations on the new bikes, awesome choice!
As a perpetually thrilled owner of a 24 cosmic yellow Striple the honeymoon phase won't go away. Riding in a flood? Yes, only a foot of water but the streets were flooded? Still a blast. Getting blasted by highway winds? A blast. Cruising through a neighborhood? You know my answer. Road trips? Absolutely. Fifth bike I've owned and I'm not sure how many I've ridden but the closest to pure joy another bike has given me was my Vitpilen 701.
As for lessons on the road, I learned that a sports naked bike isn't a bad option for an adventure bike. Also, your Scrambler looks stunning!
Both are beautiful bikes.
You're going to love the XC. Ive had mine for almost 4 years now. Its a 2019 with 28k miles. No problems. I do the oil changes every 5k miles. I got mine to replace my t120 and KLR. I use mine as a cruiser more than anything but i like the option to be able to do light offroading when i go hunting and camping. The street triple is a great usable bike. Nobody really needs a speed triple because there is nowhere to really use it. I rented a 765rs on a business trip a couple years ago and it was great getting in and out of traffic. Its a sport bike without the backaches. Yall have fun and stay safe.🍻
Thank you! Completely agree about the Speed Triple -- I really WANT to ride one, but I am having a hard time imagining where I could use that much power without slamming into the back of traffic in first gear 😂
I have a Bonneville too. Great bikes. Have fun!
I wanna win!
What a great choice, going with Triumphs! (I picked up my third Triumph last Spring. It's a 2010 Triumph Speed Triple 1050. And I love it!)
What I learned riding: When taking a turn at an intersection, just follow the rules of the road. There are times when a driver, trying to be courteous, will wave you on, even though it's not your turn. It's a bad idea.
100% agree with this statement. I couple this idea with a healthy dose of mistrust for everyone on the road and I go when I go based on what I know is the rule of the road because you NEVER KNOW who is impatiently itching to pass the person letting you take that left through the intersection
@@justinfrombugzy That's exactly what happened to me! I was leaving work, on mt 2009 Triumph Tiger 1050. I came to a stop the end of the road, waiting to take a left onto a major road. A car was on the main road, waiting for opposing traffic to pass. Once he was clear to take his left onto my road, he waves at me to go first, and take my left. He had four cars in back of him, on the single lane road. So I take my left, and end up with a car aiming right for me. Another car went in the bike lane, around the line of cares, passing them on the right. I gunned the bike, and was doing 70 mph instantly down the road.
@@donaldmathieu8804 Glad to hear you got out of that situation OK, but that's such a close call and a lesson learned you'll never forget 🫡
🍀🍀🍀 Thats a good tip, thanks for sharing!
I wanna win!
A lesson I learned on the road was old bikes will always give you something to do. Modern bikes will always give you some place to go.
Congratulations from a fellow modern Triumph owner...you guys are gonna love them!
This is such a good bit of wisdom to anyone looking to get into riding because you can "save" so much on the RIGHT vintage bike, but the opportunity to get up and go on a modern motorcycle is what really opens your eyes to what motorcycle riding can be ❤
I’m jealous of you. I love my Vulcan 650 S, but a little more power on the highway would be nice.
I was concerned initially about the 765 at highway speeds, thinking maybe a little more displacement in something like an MT09 would be better suited for power on the interstate, but the Triple has proven that it's just as happy in the twisties as it is at 75 with steady throttle. I don't know if it's possible, but if you were in the market for a newer bike with some more oomph then the Speed 900 is a really nice bike with tons of grunt to spare at highway speeds and it has the hawt pull of a parallel twin and retains the classic cruiser looks
I wanna WIN !!!
Congrats on the new bikes. hope you guys have miles of smiles, my lesson from the road, never and I mean never use cruise control in the rain... trust me.
🍀 Ohh thats a good tip! Thanks for watching:)
Great advice, and I can see how that could get gnarly quick! I am too freaked out to use cruise control in my car.
I am so happy for you Folks!!!!! God Bless and enjoy!!!!
Oh, Bugsy, this is just awesome!! It makes me so happy that you both got Triumphs!! The Scrambler fits you perfectly!! Ditto for the Triple!! I've never ridden a bike in a parking garage, either.....but I did ride DOWN a spiral 12-story parking garage in SF on my skateboard in the summer of '68!!
That is infinitely cooler and I really wish there was a video of this for you to share
Thank you so much!! I censored Justin’s swears for you 😆 We’re obviously very excited to share these bikes with you guys so it’s great to see people are feeling it 🥰 and wow that spiral garage sounds cool, so do YOU!!
@justinmantell I wish I had video of that, too, Justin!! (And a few other crazy places I skateboarded. ) At 77 and barely able to walk, I'm enjoying some wonderful adventures...vicariously through you two!! Keep 'em coming, Justin & Bugsy!! Yahooo!!
You guys got a com system .nice bikes love the street triple.like the scram also but dang that triple
The Cardo has really changed how Bugzy and I communicate and ride, it's so nice to be able to lookout for eachother while on the road and warn about potential hazards. Oh and the Triple has ruined all other bikes for me, it sucks 😂
I wanna Win!
Triumph is the way! that Scrambler has a lot of power, be safe..
The lesson I always return to is to trust your instincts and never assume you know what other cars are doing on the road. So ride defensively, unless you are trying to avoid a driver under the influence, or texting! Then try to create a safe enough distance away from them. As a fellow Triumph owner, I know that keychain would look good on my Tiger ;)
great video and you are truly magical! Justin, great choice! you look good on that Street Triple! Congrats to the both of you! XO
We are having such a great time sharing our adventure with you all, and it's so humbling to see all these positive comments and the feeling of community is super strong ❤ Great advice about defensive driving, sometimes that means going (safely) on the offensive to get yourself out of a potentially sticky situation on the road 🙌
Congrats on the bikes!
I wanna win. I have learned that I get to ride more since I moved to Florida than I did when I lived in Mass.
Love this comment, and has been a real topic of conversation between Bugzy and I because this winter is going to be hard for us to take time off from riding 😢
As the owner of a ‘22 Triumph Scrambler, I am delighted for you, Bugzy!
Justin, that Street Triple RS looks like a ton of fun (love a good sporty naked bike myself), and I am excited to see what shenanigans you two get up to!
Congratulations! 🩷
Eeekkk I’m so excited!!! Scrambler twinsies 🪄🪄
Exponentially awesome motorcycle joy! Very excited for you both, and a hearty “Well done, Mates!” What great choices you both made. Didn’t expect that triple!
Neither did I 😂 it was all over for my wallet the moment I took the demo RS for a test ride
Buzzing for you! Triumphs are great bikes and I imagined you'd head towards them as they are a little special. My story would be the time i came off on lessons. I took a wrong turn ended up on a large roundabout. my nerves shot through the roof and I target fixated on the curb because the bike wasn't handling like i wanted it to. Thankfully I managed to stop before i hit the curb but the bike had attitude and threw me on my side into the grass. my take-away from that is: don't ride when you're nervous. :)
Glad to hear you got out of this relatively OK! 🫡 I completely agree that riding while nervous is one of the scariest things that can happen on two wheels.
I wanna win!
I think one of the biggest lesson I've learned while on the road is always be learning. I had written a big long dumb comment about shifting weight in turns, but at the end I realized it was just part of the process of learning how to ride better. So that's my lesson. Always be learning about the bike, your abilities, and how changing things will affect all of that. That also means more riding and more playing. So it's fun too.
I also wanted to comment that I had a good feeling about the Bonneville platform, for you. My T120 really changed my perspective on a lot of things, and they're really respected in the entire motorcycle culture because of how versatile and still powerful they are. Good choice.
So true, and the moment you stop learning is when you cease to improve as a rider and that's when you stop being as safe as you could be ❤
Two very different, but both monumentally-cool motorcycles. You guys won't get tired of either bike anytime soon (probably never). 'Nice editing, Bugzy!
Bugzy is the best, she killllllllled this edit 🫡
Oh my gosh thank you so much. I don’t see us getting tired of them either, some of the bikes I was looking at felt a little too “comfortable”, you know? I was looking for something that would push me as a rider. Thanks for the compliment on the edit too, it means a lot that you appreciate the video from that stand point, I really love dreaming up and editing these little episodes. 😊
I know a guy that has 75,000 miles on a T100 and it's never touched asphalt! The series are very reliable. Nice job!
Oh my gosh where the heck do they live?! I wanna go!
@@BugzyMoto New Mexico!☺
Looks like Bugzy's goin' to NM!
@@justinfrombugzy Actually he put the miles on all over. West Virginia, Colorado, Baja, etc. And yes he trailer's it everywhere. It doesn't have a few things needed for Street legal status. lol He stripped it and kept the motor box stock. The rest not so much! 😇
This is great. Congrats to you both. Triumph is still my favorite brand, even tho I'm now on an Indian. If Triumph would make a bagger similar to my Indian Chieftain, I'd switch back in a heartbeat. Enjoy the new bikes..
Thank you, and we will enjoy these baddies for a very long time. We've improved as riders over the past month simply because we've been able to go anywhere we want whenever we want without limitation or worry. Triumph felt right for us both the moment our cheeks hit the seats 😂
I knew it! Good for you and good choice.
We can't wait to put thousands of miles on these baddies and share the journey with you all 🏍️
welcome to the triumph fam. I have a speedmaster. I have learned to never grab the front break hard, and to always check you fuel. When in doubt, fill up.
When Bugzy and I first started dating I took my Sporty out of hibernation to go to one of her family parties thinking I would look cool, and it was super embarrassing to leave and run out of gas because I didn't check the level in my tank before heading over 😂 One of their family friends had to bring me a gallon of gas -- No idea why she ever called me back, but I am lucky she has such a big heart ❤
@@justinfrombugzy The outta gas "PHONE CALL OF SHAME" sucks.
That is AWESOME!!! Congratulations!!! Those bikes are great. I love the Scrambler 1200 and the Street Triple is great for a sports bike. Question for Justin, how many wheelies have you "accidently" done so far with all that power🙂 Now a question for Bugsy, why did you buy the Honda jacket in the last episode??
I've yet to try this Triple with traction control off, which has proven to be a very good idea because even with "wheelie control" engaged, this thing reallllly wants to lift the front wheel when you're getting into the throttle in sport mode 😅 A goal of mine is to learn how to wheelie, though, so maybe that will happen in a few months lol
@@justinfrombugzy I forgot the new bikes have "all the electronic bells and whistles" like wheelie control, etc. I never was much into doing wheelies and all the ones I ever did on my street bikes were done by accident. (different story on the dirt bike though.😀)
Love the new bikes! And the sunflowers!
Thank you! And thanks for keeping the secret 😅
Happy Belated Justin!
so happy for you guys!
new to your channel. I enjoyed checking out both of your bikes as well as the conversation and interaction between the two of you. Peace from a motorcycle enthusiast in Connecticut.
Congrats on the new bikes!! Glad to see you guys out and enjoying them too. Knew you would end up with a Triumph 🤗
Thank you! Yeah you knew I fell in love with Triumph 😆 thanks for watching!!
I love the minion mobile. If you're into naming your bikes you could call it GRU👍😀.
😆 The rise of Gru! Thanks for watching!!
Very cool bikes 🎉. I’m a yamaha owner, multi bikes all the time, but I love Triumph and those two are among my favorites. Good on ya there. Slightly jealous. Ride safe. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
I really enjoy your videos. Enjoy your new bike😊
One thing that I learned on the road is that when state troopers tell you to turn around and go back because of a hurricane, you should listen.
oh my gosh! thats scary, glad you're ok!!!
Whoa.
I wanna win!
Congratulations on the new motorcycles and best of luck as you both as y’all enter this chapter of your motorcycling story…
One thing I learned on the road is Target Fixation. Be aware of it. Always look to where you want to go, your exit. Safe travels!
I wanna win, congrats on the new bikes! I learned that just because it's August a jean jacket isn't warm enough for the top of Mt. Washington, it was 80 at the bottom but only 40 degrees on top!
Real talk! Atmospheric differences at elevation are super important to keep in mind, which is while I'll eventually be getting some sort of bag(s) for the Street Triple 🎉 Thanks for sharing your experience and helping others!
✌😃✌
im happy fur u 2!!
😉🤙
eye fiiinally g0ts da s&s carb 0n my new ir0nhead lined 0ut purdy g00d 2day.
@@benderbender1233 yo!! happy to hear you've tuned the iron -- my winter project is dialing in my S&S on the Sporty and getting it ready for Spring rippin
year was 1981 my high school buddy's big brother bought a new xs650 heritage special. my friend borrowed the bike without asking and we rode that bike all day long. big bro wasn't so happy about that needless to say we learned our lesson.
Ohhhh shoot that sounds like something Bugzidini would do 🤣
😆 wow thats an awesome story
I WANNA WIN! 🎉
Congrats on the bikes guys, perfect choices! That keychain would match my Triumph Bobber perfectly, just sayin 😉. Best thing I’ve learned riding is to leave all of life’s stresses behind as soon as you turn the key. Enjoy guys! 🏍️
🍀 Thank you!!! That's a very good point, always a great reminder to be present while riding. Thanks so much for watching!
Words of wisdom to live by, that's for sure. I also like how this lands alongside riding your own ride and leaving the ego at home 🙌
I wanna win!
I’m a fellow Triumph owner with a ‘24 Speed Twin 900.
My tip for the road is ATGATT because an accident can happen anywhere, just because you’re going on a quick ride somewhere close doesn’t mean things can’t go sideways.
🍀 Thats what my friend Rick rides! Have you seen his bike on this channel? ATGATT is a great tip, you guys have def enlightened me on this front. Thanks for sharing & watching!
@@BugzyMoto Yup, I did see you trying out the Speed Twin in Tennessee. It’s a great bike, no doubt, but your new Scrambler 1200 or the Thruxton RS were my dream bikes. Sadly a bit out of my price range.
I DON'T wanna win. If I did, I'd have to buy a new Triumph to go match the key chain. 🙂
HAHA 😆
I know a guy you can call... 😂😂
yamaha made the xs650 to compete with the 650 bonneville so actually you sorta got the bike the yamaha was trying to be.
your new bike is beautiful, congratulations!
The crossover of vintage Yamaha trying to be a vintage Triumph and modern Triumph's going for classic Triumphs is just too cool
That’s exactly what my father in law was telling me!!! SO. COOL. I love both bikes so much. Thanks for watching:)
I wanna win ...... one lesson i learned was that every trip i take always have new tie downs for bags.
🍀 I just got some rok straps!
I'd be the one to lose my bag at night on a winding road and get to the destination with no clean underwear ☠️
Awesome! Love the dynamic y’all have and cool new bikes. How tall are you? I’m short, 5’7, and trying to trying to see if the tall scrambler will be too big for me.
Thanks 😊 I’m 5’5” I think my boots add about an inch. There was a taller scrambler I was gonna test but I didn’t feel comfortable when I sat on it, it was too tall. I think that was an XE. I’m probably going to lower this one even more cause I struggle with backing it up. Thank for watching! Let me know if/when you get a scrambler!!
I wanna win.... And O yeah I knew that you knew the Scrambler was for you.. You couldn't hide it. A good lesson I learned is that in the Northeast where we are both from, they salt and sand the crap out of parking lots from like November to April and if you're like me I ride even in the winter. So don't grab too much front brake in the winter especially in parking lots or you will drop your new baby.
This is huge for us to learn, as we've always put the bikes up for winter around October in the past. We are planning on trying to get through Thanksgiving here in NE, and we're getting some good practice with rain and wet leaves/pine needles from all the bad weather this past week.
🙈Nooooo You guys know how I feel and won’t go into it here. I do wish you and Justin the best of luck 🍀with the new bikes. I hope Justin has a good 👍 chiropractor after a long ride.😂
I still think free is better 😎Dave H
haha Dave!!! 🌞🌞🌞 thanks for always being here! I think the Scrambler will grow on you 🤪
Bugzy 🌞If I watched for the motorcycles you both would be riding Harley’s Lol 😂. It’s you and Justin is the reason I watch. I don’t dislike the Triumphs they just aren’t my style.
😎Dave H
I love the potato 🥔 potato 🥔 potato 🥔 sound if you know what I mean Lol 😂 😎Dave H
Nothing quite like that sound from idle to full throttle and back down again -- it's a completely different experience on the Iron than the Triple, and I love them both equally
I want to lose😂Don’t use to much rear brake on a wet road, rear end will go out of control. 😎Dave H
❤
I Wanna Win👋 Around a corner hit gravel going down but saved it. Scared the piss out of me so i stopped at a parking lot, collected thoughts, got some perspective and moved on.
Awesome bikes- great choice for both of you
🍀 oh my gosh thats so scary! I totally understand needing a second to gather your thoughts. Thanks for sharing and for watching!!
Remembering to take a moment and b r e a t h e after a close call, mistake, or drop is crucial for keeping your head on straight to prevent going down twice in the same ride -- glad to hear you were OK and able to continue on the ride 🙌
Keeping the old bikes?
Forever. We both built these up and restored them as project bikes with the help of my dad, so very high sentimental calue for both or us.
Oh yeah, the OGs are not going anywhere 🌹
Pretty empty car park.
Yeah it was kinda nice, I was surprised we had it pretty much all to ourselves. We've gone back there since to practice slow speed maneuvers and stuff.
@@BugzyMoto My fav Triumph is the T100 Bonneville Stealth Edition.
