I have had this happen a couple times, it's usually only when you battle them and catch them. I had a murkrow and I did the same, wanted it in a different ball lol, and reloaded but it was day and he was gone. I reset and changed the time back 3 hours and he spawned again. Thank God lol this game gives me so many shiny scares
