If you have a complete Kitakami dex, but only ever seen the Counterfeit from Sinistcha, the Artisan Sinistcha mass outbreaks will still appear on your map as a question mark. Pretty useful for people just starting to hunt one, like me earlier today :) I finally got my Artisan shiny, and even ran into a shiny Cutiefly while hunting one. If it wasn't for this video I watched earlier today, I probably wouldn't have realised the shade of pink was different from its normal shade of yellow/tan :)
I managed to find Feebas by just looking for items for Itemfinder Marks, as when I went around the crystal pool I ended up going into every alcove I could
It’s definitely something that the more adventurous types will find on their own. The problem I had was the first 3 times I went through there weren’t any Feebas 😂
i would like to bring up shiny bloodmoon ursaluna’s dex entry as an honourable mention. while bloodmoon ursaluna is shiny locked, you can view its shiny form in the dex by bringing in a regular shiny ursaluna from hisui, kinda sorta circumventing the shiny lock.
I was completing as much of the dex as I could before progressing the story, and I stumbled across the Feebas pool while looking for Carbink. Had no clue it was like it always had been, and I feel cool for *intentionally* figuring it out😎
I actually just ran around The crystal pool in circles hatching eggs when i just ran down and see a Cave, walk in with My Kiraidon and fall 500 feet down to the ground

I found the feebas pool while shiny hunting pikachu, then got a shiny mimikyu from an outbreak that was in the cave (although the shiny spawned in the exit to Oni's Maw)
I started rolling outbreaks for Artisan Poltchageist but then immediately got distracted by finding an Antique Sinistea outbreak, so now i'm 11 phases deep into a tiny and/or marked authentic shiny sinistea hunt. ...Also have to admit I completely missed the Oni Mountain caverns, so that's something i'll have to go back and explore at some point.
I actually found Feebas's spawn area on my own, as well as managing to find a marked Shiny Cutiefly from a Cutiefly outbreak. Only took a small handful of encounters too.
When I found my Feebas (without a guide or anything, just from pure exploration) it almost fled into the depths of the water... but I slapped it with my Pokeball right in time. Easy catch... but barely.
Great job! I’m actually not sure if they can run away and never come back. I lost a shiny dratini that way once but I don’t know if it would’ve come back up eventually lol
I found the Feebas cave sort of accidently? I needed Feebas for the dex and didn’t feel like breeding my Milotic I got from a raid, so I checked the dex to see where it spawned. It said it spawned in caves. I also needed Cleffa and apparently it also spawned in caves. The map said to go to the mountain’s peak and I just happened to find Cleffa there, so I thought “wait, so does the mountain count as a cave?” I searched the lake for Feebas but no luck. Then I just kinda stumbled across the cave. Turns out the Cleffa only showed up because it was night. Oh yeah also I randomly came across a Cutiefly outbreak and found a shiny from that, and later got my two Shiny Artisan Poltchageist. Will likely hunt Feebas next when I get a Dream Ball
So uhh funny story : Almost 2 years ago was just wondering the wild area of Pokémon Sword hatching my stored eggs when I crashed completly by accident with the fixed Snorlax on the bridge , and it turned out that not only was a female but also SHINY. When the DLC update dropped I inmedeatly transfer her into Violet . I love those new textures in the fur and now I dont need to hunt for a shiny Snorlax again 😂😂😂
Why is there no wild level 100 shiny magikarp? I think is a 1/37 chance for a magikarp to spawn at that level in only one small pond in the fellhorn hills
Id argue that basculin is the hardest to get 1. It spawns in a single place 2. An outbreak is extremely rare to find 3. The spot it spawns is shared by other water types so solo spawns are practically impossible 4. It has a subtle shiny so you might miss it
Even in the dlc randomly roaming in multiple directions gets WAY more shinies than the absolute nothing herba mystica finds 😤 just gonna ditch the herbs altogether since they’re so bad and I hate raids
I think I'm going for the sleepy snorlax, the only other SRs hunt I've done in SV was Spiritomb and that took me about 12k SRs and 180 hours on single system...hopefully this one takes a bit less😂😂
I got the feebas outbreak on launch day but the outbreak would only spawn 1-4 feebas at a time (Im allergic to sandwiches) def better than what we had before but still annoying at full odds compared to many of the other shinies
got my first pot after around 4 sandwiches. Caught it in a dusk ball ofc. I was so offput by polchageist not spawning in the dusk that I thought it might not spawn at night either and I definitely lost some time because of it. Definitely gonna get 3 more, two of them counterfeit, for the form dex completion
I was also worried that it not spawning at dusk would cause it to not spawn at night! It’s very odd that it doesn’t spawn during dusk though. Can’t really understand why
I just recently got a shiny Feebas with a Rare mark, i feel like that is pretty rare cause of how hard it is to get the rare mark. And then after that i found 2 more without marks about 1-2 hours later 😅
I only managed to find Feebas because a couple things lined up well. I had seen that cave already, and wondered what the deal was with the big empty lake cavern, which didn't seem to have any immediately obvious purpose. Then, as I was filling out the Kitakami dex, I had apparently already seen a Feebas through a trainer battle, so I checked its habitat in the dex and put two and two together. It was a fun moment!

If you cling on the wall of the cave with a pokémon autobattling the feebas and a feebas outbreak, you'll get a LOT of feebas.

@ProfessorRex a teensy mark would be bonkers but I don't have the eyes like I used to. The normal hunt was frustrating enough on my cerebellum as is.
