- Trying to START My 1959 CORVETTE After 30 YEARS of SITTING, AND Taking INVENTORY of all the PARTS!!
I'm back at the ole youtube thing after finally finishing the renovation of my garage. Thank you for being patient and sticking with me! This episode I try to start the 1959 corvette that I purchased back in 2020 that was sitting with the 1973 Camaro. The car was sitting for at least 30 years until I came across it (it was pulled into the pole barn somewhere in the late 80's or early 90's from what I can piece together). I also decide to inventory what parts that I have for it. - Авто та транспорт
Can't wait for the start of this restore!
Looks fairly complete, original parts can be very expensive. Whenever someone says Vette parts, people think big bucks!!!
So much potential in this Vette. I'll follow your build.
I had a real fine example of a 59 back in 72 when I still lived in Ca. It ran very well as it had a 327 with lots of power! The guy I bought it from was racing it on weekends when he had a chance. I drove it for about two years and sold it to a man who was going to freshen it up and keep enjoying it. I wish I knew if it was still around! I loved the attention it would get every time I had it on the road! Fine automobile!
Good to have you back, mister!
Your garage looks awesome, good to see you back
Ryan, it is a good day to see a video from you. Looking forward to watching them.
Garage looks nice and comfortable to work in. We all know how the Weather is in the Buckeye state, could be 75deg on day, 25deg the next. That's why I keep my garage at 65 deg all summer long, winter 50deg when I'm not out there.
Garage looks amazing
Awesome garage Ryan! Very Envious. Looking forward to you next episodes! (I vote for this '59 first!)
Garage looks great…you’ll enjoy working in this new environment
Thanks Joe!
Cool. I had some of those M/T (Mickey Thompson) valve covers on my '69 Nova SS back in the early seventies. Bought the car new. Yep, I'm an antique.
Welcome back Ryan, you were missed! Who doesn't love a '59, my first car! Looking forward to this build. Peace.
A new project to look forward to. The new work space looks fantastic, I'm sure you'll enjoy working on the car much more than before.
Thanks Bob!
Shop looking great ,can't wait for you to start the build.
Thanks Lonnie!
Ryan, good to see you back at, although it looks like you have been busy regardless! I look forward to seeing the Camaro update now the weather is getting nice! Taking my gto to its first cruise-in this Saturday! Looking forward to more…..
Great video Ryan. Looking forward to seeing you restore the 59. Just to give you some useless information, Chevrolet started the 3 letter engine suffix in 1970. 69 and earlier used a 2 letter code. I bought a 1970 LT1 Corvette about 25 years ago, and when I went to start it, it backfired and shot a mouse out of the muffler. Lol. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to future videos
This is going to be awesome I'll be watching 👀 gd luck.
Love your new shop. I'm looking forward to seeing this build. Best wishes in all your endeavors.
Definitely a great project car, glad to see another one saved. Probably need to find a better set of cylinder heads to use instead of the ones you have here. The 185 cylinder heads use the super small 1.71” intake and 1.50” exhaust valves and are great for low end torque on a small engine but worthless for use in anything trying to make midrange to upper rpm power. The small valves and runners helped the velocity or airspeed on the 307 engine they were used almost exclusively for from 1968 to 72 and were last used in 76. The car definitely has a lot of potential, best of luck to you on this project and future endeavors.
Massive upgrade to the car pharm shop. Looks great Ryan!
first Camaro, now a Vette..tell you what Lad..dig your selection of cars...owned both, love both..and damn glad you are posting again after your Honey to do lists..understand completely..

Awesome was missing your content! Looking forward to furture videos!
Welcome back.
Hey Ryan, I had a idea for your show. Maybe do one on all the products- paints, detailing agents, etc., that you like and the reasons thereof.
We used to call them "quadrabog" carburetors, back in the day. 😆 quadrajet is what they really are.
As the rest of the community said... welcome back! Looking forward to this build. How is the Camaro?
😎
Great car. Where does the camaro live?
Hey buddy I doubt are you in the music video alone
I'm not a vette expert by any means. Is that the original running gear under that car it looks like it's got a Ford 9-inch rear end up under it
Ryan, has it actually been three months since your last video? Hope all is well.
So ah Ryan.....what ever happened to the Datsun Z?
Dude, that starter thingie is a Lone Wolf 6000. Don't you watch Vice Grip Garage? Get with the program! 😃
