Thanks for this. I got a GCP black in January. I did a lot of research before I decided on this machine. I brought most of my accessories before I got the machine. Found a"tune up kit" on Amazon with a silicone gasket, brass shower plate and precision shower screen. The best upgrade was a bottomless portafilter. This is the best way to know how your shots are flowing.
thanks a lot for this video! one question about the blank basket used for cleaning: where does all the water that gets pumped to the machine to? does the water flow to the solenoid valve?
no issue with galvanic reaction pairing SS shower plate to boiler.. because: Boiler base is I think plated brass. The boiler itself is aluminium, the steam valve is galvanised. A lot of faff to avoid bloody galvanic welding of the different parts!
NO NO NO Watch out, Take care. The wands steamer have to be unscrew with tow thin english key, not only one no. Look carefully the screws, THERE is tow screws lock together. The upper one HAVE TO STAY ON PLACE , IT DONT MOVE. iT IS WELDEd TO THE COPPER PIPE INSIDE TO THE BOILER!!!

Just bought one of these on ebay! Good videos here. Went straight to subscribe.
Nice video!
I'm pretty sure the flat side of the silicone gasket should face down to the portafilter.
Don't know if it really matters tho :)
yes
Yes you are right, I was told the same by Shades of Coffee where I purchased my gasket.
yes. Otherwise it will leak. I was killing myself for that all day.

Where did you buy the parts?
I believe original shower screen is much better than IMS . There are tons of video about it.
What you call a bolt is in fact, a nut.
