I will say though rashguards are important to train in. And hayabusa makes some of the best stuff. Not a fan of their gloves and shin guards etc. But clothing has always been pretty cutting edge.
I do MMA & have tried lots of brands & Hayabusa is top of the heap as far as quality goes. I have rash guards, compression shorts/pants. But their MMA shorts are probably my favorite, along w/Venum's gear. 👌
They are paying him, and you are learning sweet moves. Why not advertise their gear? This is like you clicking on a Coke sponsored guitar lesson. What do you wear when you practice/compete?
@@undisputedgreatest that was a horrible analogy, the title of the video is the importance of RashGuards not "why you need to buy hayabusa", and RashGuards are for babies anyways
have to say, Hayabusa rashguards are damn good, I have 3 of them and despite 6 years of use the things are still like new, ok they aren't quite as white as they used to be. where has other ones i have started to fall apart fairly quick. the only knock on Hayabusa gear is the price, they are a bit expensive. i need some new boxing gloves, and instantly was thinking Hayabusa, because of how good the rashguards are, but i will end up getting some Venums or something, just because of the price.
All my RashGuards are Hayabusa. They are great and will last Very long. Only Problem it's that the SEAM. When you buy Hayabusa stuff, you always want to check up the SEAM, Theres high chance of you getting a defective one, If you do then the item won't even last for 2 weeks. If theres no SEAM failure. The Hayabusa it's one of the BEST EQUITMENT!
I bought a Hayabusa Gi 4 years ago. The jacket is strong as fuck, very good, but the pants ripped but I got them stitched and now that's the 2nd strongest Gi I have, my strongest Gi is the Flow Hemp Gi.
Neil doesn't talk about the physiological benefit of compression here. I am 54 and looking for solutions to sore hip, butt and leg muscles, especially the outsides of my thighs ( IDT band apparently ). Hoping wearing compression gear ( moderate muscle compression, not just skin hugging "sexy" gear ) can help me with soreness and recovery. I am going to try wearing it when I roll and then as I sleep to see how I feel in the morning. Trick will be to get gear that compresses without cutting off circulation. Also going to get some short sleeve rashguard to see how my back feels ( typically get sore traps and occasionally tender ribs in the back ). Here's hoping it's more than just hype.
@@Taekwon-Brando Don't use it with the exception of underwear to keep my junk where it's supposed to be. My soreness seems to be much less than it used to be.
My coach choose the size for me, but it's a bit too tight around the knees. The shirt is fine. But the leggings are kinda constricting movement. Should I get a bigger size? Or should I use it till it gets loose?
Is there a video explaining how to / what to wear with vale tudo shorts? Exact what and how to , guys ask constantly about cups shorts under shorts or shorts over the shorts. Mainly just breaking it down for the regular guy coming in off the street learning from the ground up. Thank you in advance for speaking from experience to others about necessity and qaulity.
Rash guards have other benefits other than protection. One thing that I love when I roll is that when I take my rash guard off I'm basically dry. It needs a snug fit for that to happen but I use it under my Gi specifically for that!
Rashguards and compression gear don´t save you from getting ring worm. When one of your partners or the mat is infected with spores you can get it through the clothes. Happened to me and several people I know on multiple times. When you train for many years and visit lots of different mats, tournaments, seminars and open mats you will have "bad luck" at some time.
Lol ringworm is literally nothing. Don’t touch it and it goes away quickly. If you actually think it’s bad you’ve never had any serious medical condition
Connor Perkins first of all I never said it was severe, it isn’t. It doesn’t lead to anything worse of u treat it right. However, even if u do treat it right it is a pain in the ass as you can’t go to training for atleast 2 weeks due to how contagious it is. And yes I haven’t had a very serious medical condition, why the fuck would I want to? You say like it is a good thing.
Moey Kumsuz I was replying more to Bodhi Yoga because he seemed to exaggerate it so much. My point was is that it's really not bad, and I've never understood why people make such a big deal about rash guards in BJJ. It has never stopped me from training in wrestling, we'd just tape it up and continue. In wrestling we'd practice shirtless sometimes. Just seems like a marketing ploy to buy expensive shirts tbh
KT76 no Elias said it’s gross to have no shirt and I was like what’s so bad about that? a lot of people in martial arts or like some fighting sports don’t wear shirts
@@icebear4849 I was assuming they meant wrestling shirtless IE grappling shirtless was gross. Hopefully they don't have dreams of being an MMA fighter 😁. Have a good one.
Nothing to do with immune system, unless you are compromised IE: Bad diet, Overtraining and bad nutrition or disease. 1/3 people is a MRSA (stapH) carrier, but everyone has staph. If you get a cut and dont treat it within 30 min, you have a higher chance of getting a staph infection, it is very common in grappling.
Amen to that coach.

What protects better a traditional gi or a rash guard
Hey Mark, they have very different properties but they both should protect you from the mat. If they don't, they are not doing their job!
