I am a dermato myositis patient and live in US now. Diagnosed in 2019 and is under treatment from a famous American research medical university under a rheumatologist, pulmonologist , general physician and an endocrinologist. I was referred to see a gastro enterologist and orthopedist. At this point of time I went to an alternative medicine here called functional medicine. Now I feel way better. No pain , no tiredness , I can walk do chores etc. and with the permission of my modern medicine drs I went to see alternative medicine. After that I cancelled appointments for gastronortho etc and live a happier life now. Please don’t judge that other medicines are useless. For chronic conditions like mine it gives positive results
As a person going through chronic pain, I understand her point of view. When nobody has anything to offer to subside your pain in a long period of time, we will move to any alternative that can give relief. Maybe it might be because of the placebo effect offered by these so-called remedies. I also went through a similar phase. Fortunately, my curiosity on how the remedies given to me works on my body helped me to get out of the vicious cycle. But the pain never goes away. Unfortunately, she has a huge following, which is why it's so dangerous. But the medical system in India is not good enough to tackle this problem (my opinion). Doctors should help patients understand or guide them through this pain. Your brutal honesty is sometimes not effective in such situations. Emotions and the need for a relief take over after a period of time. I guess the approach taken to get people out of addiction might be a better way. Slow and consistent help.
Whether it is relevant or not in this context,
A family with the father ailing from prolonged illness, the doctor told them that the illness is almost on the downward trend and that within a matter of, say, 6 months he will be all right. But in the meantime, an evangelical cultists came and sung songs for healing in the name of SkyDaddy Christ,
They believed them, not the doctor, and converted to christianity.
This is how things go.
@balachandrank4981 Now that's a different situation. The discuusion that these guys did totally applies in this situation. But chronic pain is something entirely different. The big problem is that no sort of test can figure out the reason for pain. One day it starts, then days, months, years. As the life moves on, its very difficult. In the mean time there is an in flow of information from all sides, "do this", "do that" and you are all alone to fight your temptation to get out of this pain. Such people are very vulnerable. None of us here have doubt about how rich Samantha is. But when there is nothing to be done, what can you do other than hope. Some people fall victims to pseudoscience because of this hope. I can totally relate to this. Not trying to justify anyone here. But a doctor should be a helping hand for them.

Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) breaks down to water (H2O) and a free oxygen, which makes it an oxidizing agent. It is the free oxygen that breaks up microbial organisms' cell and destroys them. It will not work for bigger organisms like insects. Maybe it will repel them, but will not kill them or works permanently. And 10 ml H2O2 diluted in 1 liter of water (1:100) is not effective (depending on the concentration of hydrogen peroxide you got). Usually the hydrogen peroxide you buy for retail purpose comes in at 3% concentration. That needs to be diluted just to 1:3 ratio with water. If you got 30% concentration, it can b e diluted to 1:30 and so on, to be effective.

Yes, Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) can be used for ear cleaning. It is used by ENT doctors to clear out wax. I once went to a water theme park and had water go into my ear. To clear it out I tried my finger and wiggle it (as we do normally). But instead of clearing it out, the water dislodged some wax and pushed it further into the ear. It completely plugged my ear and couldn't hear anything out of that ear. I waited a couple of days thinking it will clear out normally. But when it didn't, I went to an ENT. He used a special machine to inject diluted hydrogen peroxide or saline water and then suck it out. It was done in 5 minutes. Hydrogen peroxide and Saline solution both works as a disinfectant. Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2 breaks down to water (H2O) and free oxygen. It is the free oxygen that works on loosening the wax. He said, I could've tried diluted Hydrogen Peroxide at home. As I mentioned, doctors will have some specialized tools and machines to do it effectively. But the point is that hydrogen peroxide can be used to clean ear, just be careful.
