Another great video!! Thank you! Question....I was having a signal issue when I tucked the control in the empty well (G80) behind the drivers rear wheel. So I moved it to the battery well area. Plenty of room to mount it. Do you see any issues?
Yeah Bimmer Link will not open fully only partially I believe... Dahler will open 100% Just installed on stock s68 V8 awaiting exhaust and first time I've EVER herd a great change.
So best two ways to check: look under the back and look for the flap controller. It's a black box on the side of usually the outer exhaust pipe. If you have dual exhaust, probably one.. quad exhaust probably two. You can also use a flashlight and look for the flap itself in the outer exhaust pipe(s)
I got the Dahler valve controller installed but I can’t figure out if the sound control button makes the exhaust louder or if it’s all fake noise coming in. I hear more burbles with it on, but since the valves are open in both settings I don’t know if it’s fake or not. Any thoughts?

You can absolutely have the flap open or closed in any mode, so you are good to go!

Correct and will have a new install of this on the G87 M2 very soon too!
What’s the difference between the bimmer link than this
Programmable, remembers previous states, and cane be open closed at command with a remote. Also it fully opens the flaps and leaves them full open.

Why doesn’t anyone install the module in the trunk ?Are there no ducts to route the wires into the trunks on these cars ?
You can in some cases, but can also be easier to just mount underneath.

Exhaust will definitely be louder with the flap fully open.. the bmw active sound doesn't fake bubbles, just exhaust hum

Very likely yes but confirm for sure. They have single and double valve modules.

@ghost9119 I can't say all BMWs are the same for sure, but likely yes as most use the same valve motors.
