    Best video you have ever made. Regardless of the fact that everyone has agency to make their own choices with the information they have at hand. I have had natural woman come for me while coloring with ammonia and standing with a cigarette in her hand! Like baby! I work out daily, eat whole foods and have a healthy lifestyle plus my hair and skin I take care of with a black derm and a hair care regimen including relaxing twice or even once a year. Knowledge and the execution of that knowledge is power and fear mongering has too many people in a chokehold.

      Whewww! You hit the nail on the head! I don't drink alcohol and I don't smoke. Never have done either of those things but the relaxer is a problem lol! Knowledge is definitely all encompassing and I just had to give the girls my point of view! So glad you enjoyed the video!

    This video was much much needed. I’ve been contemplating going back to relaxer for a few years now but the bullying and the traumas of having a relaxer in my teen years has kept me from taking action. I’ve been natural for over 9 years and I love my natural hair. But lifestyle changes as you get older and the time I had for it before is no longer there. At this point I’ve made up my mind on going back but This video I feel is what I needed to hear and served as that last push and encouragement. Please please please do a part 2 talking about the different relaxers and how they’ve changed because with all these studies coming out, I can’t lie it had me think and wonder if there’s any safer options ❤

    I have been relaxed 10years. The reason I want to go back natural I am tired of the burns. I have sensitive scalp. Lye or no lye. The time it takes and the care for long hair, sometimes I get tired. Relaxer is convenience for me because I am not close to being a hairstylist 😂😂. One bun and I'm out the door. I always watch your videos because you're one of the UA-camrs who still have relaxed hair that I found when I was doing research on how to care for relaxed hair.
    I will continue watching your videos no matter what I decide to do with my hair in the near future.

      Thank you so much! I always say if I ever had issues with relaxing I would definitely stop! It's not worth the scalp burns and I get sensitive scalp is a thing! Along with dandruff, dermatitis, and so many other scalp diseases. Im wishing you the best on your hair journey and the road to comfort! xoxo

    Brianna girl you are one of the most beautiful black women I've ever seen one black woman to another black woman my hair is relaxed also as black women we face so much scrutiny for our hair its such a shame.

    Great video, I really don't understand why some women feel the need to share their negative thoughts about what you, I or others choose to put in our hair. Why even watch the video if relaxers are not for you. Thank you, I've always had long relaxed hair but education from many hair influencers such as you has helped me to have not only long but healthier hair 😊

    ⭐️ Nice vid! I have never condemned a woman about how she wants to wear her hair. It’s none of my business. So many negative Nancy in this world. They probably desire to have health hair like yours. Or they are surprise you can have health relaxed hair. I’ve never read negative comments on Wigs or Blonde Wig videos. It’s ridiculous. I don’t like blond wigs. But I’m not going to leave a negative comments on a woman’s channel. It’s their prerogative.
    You are a beautiful lady. Keep your head up. You are appreciated. ❤

    I love this video, i was natural for a decade, relaxed my hair and someone who had locs made me feel so so bad about myself, i shaved it off and then in October when it was pretty good length, i relaxed it again lol. I got a pixie cut this year and then got it cut into a shorter pixie. I'm relaxed and people don't understand why. But I'm in the process of growing it out long, my hair grows pretty quickly but I'm gon😢na be proof that relaxed girls can grow their hair from a pixie cut and into healthy long hair

    I’m relaxed but I don’t like to stretch my relaxers at all. I relax 4-5 times a year. And yes my hair still curly somehow. Everyone thinks I’m natural. My reasoning for relaxing is to minimize frizz and keep a blowout for a week in a humid climate.

    We appreciate you so much Bri! I just recently went back to relaxers after my second stint at being natural for 4 years. As you said I plan to implement and apply the same knowledge I learned while being natural to my relaxed hair journey. You have played a huge role in providing me with invaluable information that I need! I am 3 months post trying to stretch for 5. May God continue to bless you richly ❤.

    Would love to see a video about some of the new relaxer systems available that you mentioned: texlax systems as well as the newer relaxers that have fewer chemicals. Specifically would love to know the name of the relaxer(s) that promote 60 percent less chemicals! Thank Sis! Great video!

    Love this video! I have a short cut, but haven’t relaxed my hair since May because of all the recent information out there. I have literally been researching for the past 2 months different types of relaxers and their ingredients to see if there is anything I can use that’s not so toxic because with my cut, I normally relax every 2 months. I would love to check it out if you ever do a video on the lists of those. I did come across the natural Phytorelaxer index 1, but it may be discontinued because it is literally sold out EVERYWHERE. I wanna keep my lixie (long pixie) so bad, but I can’t stretch that bad boy out 2-3 times a year, chile I’m in braids now with this involuntary 4 month stretch 😂

    • @BriannaRashay
      @BriannaRashay  10 місяців тому

      😂I’ve heard about the Phytorelaxer being a better option as well! I’ll be on that stat! I’ve also been curious about other relaxers myself so I think it’ll be interesting

    If you're only relaxing twice a year its call texlax, not relaxer. It doesn't make your hair bone straight,textured hair. I love your hair though.
