Yes it's Lye for me too. I used to use the box kind when I was alot younger. Noticed overtime my hair started to look dry and brittle...made the change and my hair immediately looked less dry and had a much silkier feeling.

i don’t relax my hair i texturise my hair, and i use no-lye box texturiser and my hair loves it (it’s soft and beautiful botanicals regular so it isn’t just a normal texturiser it caters to the hair). i only actually texturise my hair twice/once a year as i tend to keep it in protective styles, i let my real hair out in the summer and maybe in the spring/autumn but never in the winter. whenever my stylist texturises my hair my hair is always left looking shiny and healthy (we don’t use all of the steps only the texturiser, before she uses her own products)

I actually find the no lye relaxer better because of the olive oil content which acts as a protectant, not to mention a tablespoon of olive oil is great for blood pressure and glowing skin. Olive oil has been used by Ethiopians and this is why their hair is so beautiful. They add a lot of olive oil. All relaxers have a timer so you will not to burn your head, but some people over do it. You’re right that the salon brands are more effective and give longer lasting results. I’ve been on vacation swimming a few days after a no-lye home brand (Optimum) and my frizz was so puffy. But washing my hair or swimming after salon relaxers didn’t produce really any frizz because the process seemed to be permanent. The 3 professional brands I am aware of are: Affirm, Mizani, and Design Essentials. There’s probably more, but these seem to be the most popular.

Heyy, please I'm thinking about relaxing my hair and I don't know which relaxer to use. I'm stuck between the ors relaxer and the dark and lovely relaxer.. Please which do you think I should use?
Yes! Cheating shampoo is great at removing buildup but so it a really good neutralizing shampoo. Usually when you use the products that are the same brand as the relaxer they work together! But other times you may have to use different type of neutralizing/clarifying shampoo!
Is anyone going to talk about why should we be using something safe .. Hello haven’t anyone heard what’s happening to our black women from relaxer , they say it’s linking to cervical cancer.
I’ve been relaxed all my life and never had uterine cancer or fibroids some people who don’t even use relaxers still get fibroids or uterine cancer but hey too each it’s own🤷🏽♀️
Can I use a relaxer to loosen up the roots, But still leave the rest of the hair curly?. I like my hair type, But even though its long, i still cant lay it down,
hey, I see you asked this a while ago but its NOT recommended... having 2 textures long term would lead to breakage. Also if you only do it once, as time goes on you will have a totally different hair texture in the middle of your hair strands as well. this again will eventually lead to breakage and also a "poodle" effect/ look to your hair.
hey we dont know each other but i hope ur doing well and I wanna say that GOD still loves u and wants u to be with him all u must do is trust in Jesus (dying for our sins on the cross) and repent of ur sins. GOD loves u more than u can imagine.🎉❤🎉😊😊😊

Makeup Is 300x Perfection
Is it true that a chelating shampoo can remove the calcium build up? TIA😘
Yes! Cheating shampoo is great at removing buildup but so it a really good neutralizing shampoo. Usually when you use the products that are the same brand as the relaxer they work together! But other times you may have to use different type of neutralizing/clarifying shampoo!
Great question!!!
You look like a mix between Issa Rae and Shannon Thornton.
do you think i can dilute a lye relaxer with conditioner to make it milder for my 3a hair ?
You can put oil in it. I always put castor oil in mine. Slows processing time so gives you more time to apply
¡Great video! Thank youuuu 😘
Thank you so much this information is going to help me a lot
Thank you for this video
I have coarse hair
Is anyone going to talk about why should we be using something safe .. Hello haven’t anyone heard what’s happening to our black women from relaxer , they say it’s linking to cervical cancer.
I’ve been relaxed all my life and never had uterine cancer or fibroids some people who don’t even use relaxers still get fibroids or uterine cancer but hey too each it’s own🤷🏽♀️
Beautiful❤
Hi i have a question how do you leave texture in your hair? please and thankyou
under process it. leave it in for lesser time than advised.
Great info Brianna 💜💜💜💯
Why is it that you do the edges last? My edges is what I want the most straightened.
The edges are more fragile that’s why you do them last or they will break off
Thank you I thought you ignored me!
come through my hair crush with another banger, love your vids, keep n up the good work
Thanks for watching ❤️
💯💯
I’m trying to figure out the difference between no lye and lye relaxers. I did see lots of articles about relaxers cause cancer
You have received
I'm getting ready to relax my 14-year-old daughter's hair might get the just for me I just want to put it in and get it out
How long can spend to relaxe again please
It's depends on your texture 😀hope this helps
U make this movie to talk
You typed this comment to type🤨
Can I use a relaxer to loosen up the roots, But still leave the rest of the hair curly?. I like my hair type, But even though its long, i still cant lay it down,
hey, I see you asked this a while ago but its NOT recommended... having 2 textures long term would lead to breakage. Also if you only do it once, as time goes on you will have a totally different hair texture in the middle of your hair strands as well. this again will eventually lead to breakage and also a "poodle" effect/ look to your hair.
No
No lye relaxers are stronger
hey we dont know each other but i hope ur doing well and I wanna say that GOD still loves u and wants u to be with him all u must do is trust in Jesus (dying for our sins on the cross) and repent of ur sins. GOD loves u more than u can imagine.🎉❤🎉😊😊😊
no relaxer at all..
None!
Something I’ve noticed when doing my relaxers… is the box ones give me the most smooth and silky results. I’ve been using the motions lye one and my hair maintains the most texture which I kinda don’t like. I have always used super and my hair never gets straight enough for me even when leaving it on longer 🫤🫤🫤
