The Mud Dogs performed throughout the San Francisco Bay Area from 1980 to 1987. The members of the band were Jeff Henry, drums; Mark Holzinger, guitar and vocals; and Anwyl McDonald, bass and vocals. They played original songs by Holzinger and McDonald, and covers drawing from rockabilly, rock, bop, r&b, and pub rock, in a style that might now be called Americana. They were managed by Carol Hunter with assistance from Gary Lambert. As well as headlining their own shows, they were fortunate to be on the bill with many great acts including The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Neville Brothers, Chris Isaak, Los Lobos, The Blasters, Asleep At The Wheel, and NRBQ. Holzinger was inducted into the Western Swing Society Hall of Fame in 2016.
Love these guys. 💓
