Not many golf coaches on UA-cam even coach golf anymore! I am an active golf coach taking inspiration from live lessons to deliver relatable golf coaching content. Having worked under Pete Cowen for 3 years the information I provide really is from the top table!

Good drill and essential for great swing... only works if your arm structure is correct... Right arm inside of right shoulder
I know Pete Cowen is considered to be one of the premier teachers in the world. His instruction for whatever reason does not resonate with me.
There's nothing wrong with that at all. It's one of the best things about our sports because people can deliver similar messages in different ways and it resonates differently with each golfer.

That drill is probably the best golf tip ever. You can practice all shots with that swing. Great for balance, control and understanding the feeling of hitting the ball in the club's sweet spot.
Pete is brilliant. Always a good old drill feet together
Andy, Pete says that most golfers would benefit from the drill of swinging with the towels under the arms , but they will lose power. Most of us struggle with consistent impact, pursuing additional power for a weekend player seems like a waste of time. Why not recommend for me most us us the easiest way to build a repeatable more accurate shot.

Andy gave me this drill twice because it was soooo good 😂
The first time was to help me correct my right arm structure on the takeaway and it worked really well.
The second time was after a grip change and to encourage a good release to make me more consistent, again it worked really well.
It's something I still practice in the back garden and once it stops raining 😢 I'll take it to the practice area. Enjoy 👍🏻

You should try Danny Maude as well he has some incredible lessons with Pete. One is great th n Danny does another video based on the lesson with Pete and breaks it down more. Regarding backward grip and Th right arm movement one of the best ever

I found andy four months ago on UA-cam doing a pitching video suggesting that we do the feet together drill. I will be the first to admit it, I never did the drill. But after watching this, I’m going straight to the range!

Love how smooth your swing looks here. Can you do that also with Driver? I am pretty sure if I try it, this will produce a low slice, but I am wondering if you can do it and if it makes sense to do that with driver too. Looking forward to do the drill as you said on skillest to fix my current "shoulders only" swing, pretty sure this will help.
I wouldnt do it with driver because spine tilt is none existent so no real benefit. Its ideal for wedges and irons

Feet together is nothing new, probably the oldest drill in golf, if i play poorly i play a round feet together, what i learnt from it, my bad habit is getting my stance to wide, the narrower my stance the better my ball striking and consistency
Yeh 100% and that’s why Pete is saying here. Narrower stance helps striking
