Ronny Moorings, David Bowie's heir... Me and my husband were lucky to see Clan of Xymox perform in Seattle, El Corazon club on November 9, 2018. One of the highlights of all times. They did not play this song btw -- but the overall vibe, the quality, the energy! Some musicians are the true healers. Shamans who help shattered souls piece themselves together. I know, sounds odd paired with this song, lol. They stayed after the concert to chat with fans, which was most touching -- despite "losing faith in humankind". How could I meet one of my favorite people and not put my foot in my mouth? I told Ronny that I've been listening to "Desdemona" as a painkiller... not so funny -- my father had recently died, and I was devastated. I couldn't make myself say that, it was so heavy. Mostly because Dad used to be a rock singer, too -- but for some reasons he abandoned that path to become a square left-brained man. It didn't work. I needed someone like him to teach me to take pride in who I really am, and looked up to my favorite rock stars. So thankful they are here! This concert was the best way I could celebrate my Dad's life, to honor who he truly was. We drove all the way from Montana, and I came back having the peace which seemed out of question. That was about our wedding anniversary. Beautiful synchronicities. I doubted if I should post this but the best music is what has a personal touch. As for this song -- I only discovered it last month and was positively haunted. "Hypocrite" as well, and a few other OMG's -- very healing in a way that the Poet Judge totally nails the certain types of people. This kind of judgment is pure and long-lasting. Thank you.
my goodness his voice in intense, deep, and so much like the heyday 80's. ive never heard this one, just busy and beautifully done. nothing wrong with dark music, dark wave.
Moorings, once a genious and still is. A musical genious, with loads of imagination, both creative and original which creates a mix of sounds not ever heard before, the style is their very own. Lyrics are amazing.
