Janet would have been a total win as a Mouseketeer. Great dancer, lovely voice, and adorable face. Not to mention natural poise. But Lawrence Welk found her first.

Uncle Walt didn't wasn't looking for professionals, and I'm OK with that.
They should have used the colouring process.Even today they can coloured an 1910 silence film!
All the girls sang beautifully, but Dee Dee is marvelous. She has such a lovely, pure voice.
I completely agree with you! All the sisters have beautiful voices, but Dee Dee's voice is definitely something special. Her voice has a pure, clear quality that is truly enchanting. I always thought Diane was the prettiest but they are all good looking! Such a large family of 11 children and not a bad looking one among them!

Perri is a 1957 film from Walt Disney Productions, about the Youth of a Squirrel. Those were the days for great children entertainment.

True for a great many people. I recall those simpler good times & lived them with my family. At the same time there were countless minorities enduring unbreakable hardships. My folks told my brother & me how our lives were easier then drove us to a few places where our easy lives were not happening. My folks wanted us to know truth. I got depressed & worried while my older brother handled it better. I still carry the empathy & understanding I gained as a child...and I still hurt in these modern times when life can still be cruel to so many people.

the lennon sisters, dang who knew, they hit it big for a time and were well known, though today not as familier to the young unless they are into history or the hey day of our country. and early tv.

The Cat fight that you were thinking about is a modern concept. Besides it was extremely scripted, planned, and rehearsed behind the scenes. All the Mouseketeers had beat out some 5,000 children to get what they had gotten. Annette had absolutely nothing to defend.
it would be fun that during their guest star day a couple of their kid guests would make it as an official Mouseketter! Walt Disney could have thought of that.

The Lennon Sisters continued to perform for many years after LW, on television and on stage. They all moved to Branson and performed there for years. Dianne and Peggy retired but Kathy and Janet now have a trio with their younger sister Mimi.
I always just plain knew that Darlene was out of my league. I liked Bonnie.
