I think one of the craziest things you can do is change a weapon from one variant to another. Like you can change an XIX shovel into a MK V and thats pretty insane if you ask me.
Using shards of hate, I kinda prefer my trusty heavy laspistol, the shards shred unarmored and Flak armored enemies, and the Heavy Laspistol is for Carapace, Unyielding, and monster enemies. The psyker sword (I forget the name/mark) is able to deal with pure hordes and can be charged to deal with armored enemies.
I read every blog post and all the menus in the game and I'm still struggling to understand how all of this works now. Personally I gave up when all my weapon marks got renamed and power seems to have been rearranged. Good thing I know I can always rely on Ryken for top grade info on swedish co-op games with needlessly obtuse mechanics
one change i like is if you hit a flamer in the back he will blow up and create a burning area. my stealth zealot backstabber got surprised a couple of time by that feature
Dueling sword thrust + precog feels super good my goodness. That and bolter with puncture and fire frenzy for those of us who don't have time to stop moving XD
i got the game on steam recently after having it on gamepass for a while, it really REALLY sucks that cross progression doesnt exist and i have to restart all my characters again buuuutttt....at least now i wont have to gamble while doing it lmao
Man, just imagine how much content you'll get to make by redoing all your psyker builds (I unironically run your Cinder Mage Build as my go-to psyker loadout, and putting that back together with the new talent tree was fun and perplexing in equal measure).
Also, I probably had unlocked 85% of tier 4 blessings across all careers and weapons, but when I logged in, nothing seemed unlocked. I heard it was bugged (then fixed) but I don’t see anything.
I thought it was in 2 more days. I was going to work toward pushing out more blessings from my usable weapons before the update happened. Well, I am at least drowning in fodder on my zealot to sacrifice. Greatly looking forward to getting my inventory management mess in order.
Been just ANNIHILATING missions as my long time favorite revolver gunpsyker lately, and I feel like this patch is just going to make it so much more fun, I can't wait. Except I have to wait, I'm out of town for work until Sunday. So hopefully you'll be cranking out that psyker video in the next couple days for me to watch while I plan my new build for Sunday night!

Yes! This is the perfect time to come in! The only thing that is still imperfect... is the cosmetic shop and its pricing and nonsense rotation... BUT other than that, the core system of the game has improved tremendously along with some fixes and improvements that make some of the iconics weapons much better to use (Thunder Hammer and Bolters)
This was super helpful. As a new player it was hard to follow some build guides and now I know why. And I kept getting the train mission! Like 4/5 times it was train.
Do you know what the power level of a weapon represents now, I've tried all kinds of calculations and I can't get the numbers I get to equal the actual power level of a weapon, I know it mostly doesn't matter but I need to know.
I have been waiting for this update since release/skill tree addition... For me, Darktide is out of BETA with this patch. I got 3,4k hours on Vermintide 2 but only 300ish on Darktide because of how RNG-designed everything was which made testing new builds aka REAL GAMEPLAY (The REAL reason -Tide games are being played) very VERY difficult, time consuming and made 80% of your time spent and resources irrelevant.
the update really did make the zealot useing the fast swinging combat axes super good. esepcialy for critting and dealing with armored targets. cause ive been blasting through crushers and maulers and even some bosses with the sheer swingspeed and stacking damage. with 2 blessings of headhunter (the stacking on hit damage buff, that can help deal with high health targets) and the new blessing that grants you a stacking damage buff as long as you hit the same target. the blessing grants strength which i can only see as being "melee damage buff". but with the sher critting and swing speed of the tactical combat axe with the more single target attack pattern (since it naturaly aims for the head aka weak spots) it kinda munches through hordes and even killing more armored targets. since i got the 5% crit chance buff on the axe and 25% damage buff towards Charapace armored targets. but i do see the update as an improvement
Wow this is great, itemisation was my main frustration with the game. This gives us so much more scope for trying diff load outs and builds and seems to have an actual progression system. Been enjoying SM2 operations but I think Darktide now does that coop pve part of the game infinitely better.
The one negative thing is that it's still massively beneficial to only play with and upgrade a single weapon until it's maxed out. Punishing variety and testing. It's also rather complicated to know what's what at a glance. In the end tho I think it's gonna be a good time for most of us who have a lot of hours but have not maxed everything.
i tried to sacrifice my weapon but somehow it still level 0 for the weapon i tried to master? it said after sacrifice it should reach level 10 but nope.
Not exactly sure what's going on in the back end and I can't find out myself since everything of mine is maxed... Perhaps give it sometime as Fatshark sorts things out with the system and stability!
@@rykenxiv so quit the game and return every weapons from 0 mastery to level 12 - 16 for me. I guess the server need to be stable on my end after reset
This has happened to me this morning and I was pretty upset sacrificing a bunch of my weapons seemingly for no gain. Glad it worked out for you in the end. Hope it gets sorted out for me too
Im annoyed that you can be locked out of different weapons of the same type. Example is the blaze Force Sword for the psyker. I have the wapon maxed but im trying to get a Illisi sword but you can only pull a Deimos sword from Brunts armory unless it happens to be in the rotation of the weapons & Curios. Its frustrating because i still need to roll for a good Illisi sword. Unless there is a way to change it, but i have yet to find it.
Brunt will only sell 1 of the marks from the family of weapons! If you want to change it to something else, you can click on your weapon and look at the top right to find "Marks". That will bring you to another screen where you can freely swap between all marks within that family! This applies to all weapons now - so no need to worry about hoping for good stats on all of the weapons - just find one with good stats and you can rotate the marks around to make use of the stats! Hope this helps!
Being the huge Warhammer nerd i am and have been for over over a decade if this was on PS5 I would pick it up in a heart beat it was really disappointing when the game game out but not for the PS5. The player count would go through the roof. Its the main reason i really dont like exclusive games it not good for the life of the game

This is the first time I've looked at the game and went "I *WANT* to actually spend time playing with these other weapons" I'm actually looking at clubs for the first time after mainlining the shovel since the beginning.
Question abt the update Ryken, would appreciate if you have the answer and if not, investigate it with me 👍 Is every weapon capable of hitting 500 “power”/“weapon score”? If so, does this simply mean the weapon has reached its max stat potential? What’s interesting about this new system is it no longer guarantees what the max stats of a weapon can be. In the past, all 5 stats could at max sum to 380. This could be 4 stats at 80 and 1 stat at 60. I have a crusher on zealot that says it’s max stat growth is 80 in 4 stats and 43 in another stat, indicating that even if I reached the max potential for this weapon, and it had the label of “500 power”, it won’t necessarily be as good as another 500 power weapon with a 60 instead of 43. Im surprised not every stat growth adds up to 380 at max.
Update for anyone who read this, that crusher I had is now showing that it will upgrade to 60 defenses. Seems every weapon should be able to upgrade to around max stats?

Could it be that you need to switch marks? The weapon family has been condensed into 1 mark representing it instead having all 3. So as long as you've got the stats you want, you can convert any weapon into another within the tree
The power rating of the weapons do not make any sense anymore. I cant figure out what that number exactly implies even after trying to calculate out several possible connections.
I dont like the double numbers all over the place UI looks horrible now. You are still at the mercy of randomized stat distributions but you can make any weapon 380 by empowering it at hadron.
500 is max power. Eventually you'll get there. Only thing of importance now is the profile of the core stats and what their individual max would be. I think it makes a lot more sense now.
If I recall correctly, every 5 points you put in allows you to place a point in a tier above. So if you saw the example clip I had, the counter on the left with the skull would move every time I placed a point in a blessing which tells me what the maximum tier I can access at the time!

2 years finaly kinda feels bad that we can't get all the stats to 80 by feeding it materials. Not saying it makes the update bad but it feels like a weird decision that makes it sligtly anoying still to get your perfect weapon, yes it is now better just not as good as I would preffer
I despise the new UI. Im already beyond sick of looking at two numbers underneath every stat on every weapons and I havent even played the new update yet. Its messy and cluttered and probably wont ever be changed. Terrible decision by whoever is in charge of UI.

What do you mean? I checked the blessings on my weapons and I can put all the ones I had unlocked on them, the patch right now is bugged so I cant progress the mastery to unlock more.

I got rid of sooo many 380 weapons with near perfect distributions bc they got bricked in the old system due to perks and blessings 😢

Yea, I hate it. They said I would not loose access to any blessings, I did. The way you pay for blessings is not cool. I am probably done with this game.
What do you mean? I checked the blessings on my weapons and I can put all the ones I had unlocked on them, the patch right now is bugged so I cant progress the mastery to unlock more.

@@Suomiwimbulathey are working on fixing that and they rolled the patch out early so they could work out all the kinks. and theyre currently doing just that.
As other have said, its a bug going on! While your frustration is understandable, that doesn't mean the system is bad!

since what months? its been 'dead' since early last year. this thing was barely ever 'alive'. it fumbled the launch and only got anywhere with the class rework. learn to speak english and refine your bait.
mind you it's not actually dead (it deserves to be though) but you're obviously thinking that
