I listen to this song, now... and I cry so hard! The first time listening to it, it took my body some time to understand and accept what it was feeling, lol. Now, my mind and body has caught up and I am a pool of water, every time I listen to this song :-O ♥
Grace will add another layer of emotions once you hear it. I know exactly how you feel. And it's one of my favorite songs I've heard in a long time. I honestly can't wait to see how you react to Grace. It STILL gives me goosebumps listening to it, years later
I apologize if this has been touched on previously... Another layer of the irony of the guitar solo? This was this first episode of EMG TV. So, at the time...it literally was the best guitar solo! Lol! XD Love the content! Keep on keeping on!
Devin isn't a normal person. He "sees" music in shapes and colors. He is so much more than a singer, guitarist, and composer. He is the Piper and we all dance at his whimsy.
Oh, does he has chromesthesia? It's rare thing, but very useful for people of art, as I have heard. It's like be able to see additional colours in visual spectrum, if compare with ordinary people.
My brother shared Devin Townsend with me when I started high school in 2005 or 2006, I felt like one of the only people in the universe who knew who Devin Townsend was and I can't express how happy I am that so many people are discovering him. Truly a prodigy.
Just stubbled upon your channel today and I must say I love you both! I just love the genuine reactions you guys have and how much you guys seem to just love music. Makes me happy :)
Deadhead is already on the Patreon early access and Grace will be up this week! Join us there if you can but no worries if you can't, it will eventually make its way to the Tube🤙
This is such a lovely reaction video! I love how honest and fully you allow yourself to feel when reacting to these performances. What a gift you have!
Sistah sensory overload! This is by far the best reaction I have seen to this video. :> Btw. Devin Townsend and Mikael Ákerfeldt from Opeth have been talking about doing a joint project centred around vocals. My impression is that Devin Townsend Project, Opeth and Gojira are touring together at the moment.
You guys really had a beautiful moment there, especially for the first timer. Another beautiful performance by Devin is Grace (live at Retinal Circus). Devin and Anneke’s vocals, the band, the dancers, the choir all combine to make an out-of-this-world performance
Wow. I cried with you Sista. And I've seen this dozens of times. Love this album. Love your full description, Wolfkain, and how you excited you get when you show her this for the first time. I've been there and its exciting. I've seen all of the reactions to this video, who cares..it's a great intro to DTP and Devy. This reaction was fun and made me feel the most connection to the hosts. Subscribed! 💗💗
I love this video. It’s definitely the first I’ve seen to go so in depth with what you’re watching and your feelings after the fact. Keep up the good work you two. I’ve been listening to metal all my life and Devin never fails to blow me away with everything he does. I’m certainly not as emotionally sensitive to the music as Sistah, but it always makes me feel SOMETHING. I think that’s the hallmark of a truly great musician.
This was the first video I saw of you two (I just love seeing people discover Devin) and I just gotta give some love to you Wolf. The internet is quick to tear people down so full props to you laying it out up front that it's Sistah's personal journey discovering these artists and songs, what a fantastic friend to have in your corner. Hope the two of you enjoyed the journey over these years.
You know why this got the like and subscribe from me? YOU ARE THE FIRST REACT PAGE TO POINT OUT THAT THE "EPIC GUITAR SOLO" LINE IS SARCASTIC. Everyone else was pointing to his ego. I was getting SO fed up, like they weren't paying attention to the kind of person he is at ALL. He IS a confident performer, but he also knows when he isn't doing something spectacular, it just sounds good. THANK YOU!
Man it was one of the most powerful and helpful react ive ever seen. 10 minutes introduction shows much you know and love about him. As a Devin fan, i really appriciated it.
I was literally subbing your channel before your reaction started in the first place, I was drawn in by your honesty and authenticity, it was also probably the first time I wasn´t skipping forward to the reaction part as well. I only recently realized that Devin Townsend whom I had seen in concert with Steve Vai (huge fan of him, you really should react to his "Whispering a Prayer" song, " live at the Astoria"!! You won´t regret i, I can almost promise that!) is still around when I saw other channels react to - guess what? "Kingdom".. and I was similarily touched on a deep, deep level. Wish you all the best on your spiritual journeys. Greetings from Germany!
Her reactions are such an explosion of her emotional connection to music. I will always be a fan of HaldLifeSitah.... and huge thanks to Wolf for guiding her on this amazing journey into the rainbow of rock music
It´s really great watching you conveying all those authentic emotions, it really brings back the enthusiasm i had when listening to this (and other songs you reacted to) for the first time. Most Devin requests will probably be for "Deadhead", but i also recommend that you listen to "Universal Flame Live at Royal Albert Hall". He plays this song for his son, who requested it, and he also brought him on stage, such a lovely and awesome thing to do :)
Honestly had the same reaction, I’m not a religious person but the first time I herd that song I cried and had what I would call a religious experience
I just have to say this is the best song reaction video on the internet. The timing and nature of Sistah's reactions are so satisfying and genuine. I enjoy this song even more when I'm watching her listen to it 😂❤️
I’m so glad to see another reaction like this. I have no idea how I saw the original video, but there it was on my recommended watchlist. The first time I watched and listened to this amazing piece of art I got choked up. I’m so glad I’m not alone. For me this would be the song playing when I would be entering heaven or earning the ultimate victory.
Sistah had the same reaction I did when I first heard it. It's.... breathtaking. The loftiness of the sound is representative of the intensity and majesty that is capable of producing.
Sista had the same reaction I had when I first heard this specific version of Kingdom. I've known about Devin since his Steve Vai and SYL days but this just blew me away, literally. I felt myself on the verge of tears having never heard anything quite like this. It's genius, brilliant and I think I spent the next 2 hours pouring over anything I could find of the Devin Townsend Project. I keep hearing about this DT rabbit hole and it truly exists.
Your reaction is absolutely priceless and the literal embodiment of my own reaction to hearing devy for the first time!! He is a life changing artist for sure and my personal muse!
I love how emotional you react! I react the same way to a lot of music. When something is so beautiful it brings tears to our eyes and fills our body with joy. Never be shy about your emotional response! It is beautiful and special. ❤

I love how she freaked out when Devin started singing, it can be pretty overwhelming sometimes, specially when it's the first time hearing this. It just blows you away.
You feel the music in a whole new level, well, the way you express it, it's from the heart, I know you'll love Black Realms Majesty - Luca Turilli, that's a song that nearly made me cry, I'm not that expressive, but I can recognize my heart when I feel music in your reactions, thanks for remembering us what is like to feel the music and the spirit on it, the soul of the artists connecting with the audience, and us giving back all the love and emotions!
You 2 are awesome, thank you for sharing your time with us! And forget the haters and the whiners, we have better things to give our attention to in this life!
it leaves you numb internally but in that i'm missing a limb, my mind is lost and my chest aches kinda way. you want the feelings to come back but you're still trying to understand what you've lost and why it's so important to begin with. i like that feeling. it's a form of peaceful wandering.
Death of Music live @ Royal Albert Hall. I love all the layers of his music. Because it makes his music eternally enjoyable. Due to the fact that every time you listen, your ears and brain pick up something new you never heard before.

Love you guys! I hate to pile on the innumerable requests you already have, but the latest song from Cellar Darling, "Insomnia," is absolutely amazing. Very prog-rock mixed with folk metal and symphonic influences. FYI, in case you didn't know, Cellar Darling formed from former members of the folk metal band, Eluveitie.
