Normal people (non-alcoholics) actually sweat more from drinking. If someone stops sweating after downing a shot or two, they be physically dependent. What a terrifying paradox to be living in. The US didn’t save the French in WW1 anyway; France was the Russia of WW1. They took the full brunt of the Imperial German Army and came out on top. I fucking it hate it when Americans think they "saved the French" in WW1. The frontline in WW1 was set, it could have lasted for years still. Americans coming, in the last year of the war, only offered the opportunity for French soldiers to open a new front in the Balkans and destroy Germany's allies. Point is that the French didn't need saving in WW1. America was a good manpower help, but things were in control, as they had been for 3 years before. The best armies in the world in 1916 were first, the German army, greatest army. Second was France without a doubt. Then by 1917 Britain started to have a strong land force too. When America came to Europe in 1918 they came with the same glorious ideals as Europeans did in 1914, of glorious charges. Unfortunately they got mowed down because the technology was such that you couldn't just conquer an entrenched position. But additional American manpower allowed the experienced allies, the Brits and French mostly, to finish the job, granted.

nationalism doesn't equal hatred of other ethnicites; the reason why we have 'nations' is because everyone nowadays are inherently nationalists. Without nationalists, everyone would still be solely tied to their local neighborhoods and towns like those of the medieval ages. Without this evil nationalism, we wouldn't have America, South America, India, Italy, Germany, etc., these are all nations that formed by either taking similar language regions and peoples and putting them under one national flag and land, or separating themselves from a foreign empire that's culturally different from them.
Tieflingamer yeah, we don’t hate other ethnicities, we just don’t want other ethnicities around us. Kinda like saying, I love you but stay the hell away from me.

Unfortunately its OK for some to ignore Heritage, Tradition, Culture and History, but for Indigenous and Croats, without it, we would simply Disappear. If Croatia never exsisted, the 20th Century may never have existed.
all would be valid and perfect comments made by Doug, if everyone on earth felt the same way, but unfortunately Mexican immigrants believe in their culture, heritage and nationalism, so thus we must be Tribe-alistic as well in order to survive as a country, it's how the world has worked since the begging, humans are naturally tribe-alistic
If the Brits had kept the US, slavery would have ended a century and a half earlier and you wouldn't have the violent social problems you have today. Oh, you would have achieved independence, probably a bit later like India and after some commonwealth bullshit, but that would be a small price to pay for a country largely at peace with itself.
If you're against nationalism in practice and not just in political theory, you won't have any locks on your doors, won't consider anyone family whether they're blood related to you or not, but all complete equals, and will let anyone have any of your property.

The most important point about the French is that without their navy, the war for our independence would’ve either gone on for much longer or failed. Unfortunately they got mowed down because the technology was such that you couldn't just conquer an entrenched position. nationalism doesn't equal hatred of other ethnicites; the reason why we have 'nations' is because everyone nowadays are inherently nationalists.
