    Great video! I’m fixing to tackle redoing my yard with my Kubota BX23S. I have a tiller & landscape rake and sure love that pulverizer but they are a little pricey for no more than I would use it. Congratulations on your retirement! Happy Sunday Hagan, you're correct, the next few years will fly by and you'll be retired soon. Finger crossed your health remains strong.
      I purchased the pulverizer instead of a power rake because the power rakes are out of my budget. I found this one in the dealers lot and it had been sitting there a while so I got a fair deal......I sure like using it. I'm confident your tiller and landscape will serve you well. Enjoy your summer!

    One thing I have found is that having the turf tires is great for doing dirt work in yards and horse arenas. R4’s make too big of indentations when I am doing work in landscaping. Turf tires are great also for smoothing the dirt.

    My TR3 Rake attachment could work that with rippers first and then retract the rippers to do a leveling action. But I would probably use my tiller first to get a finer seecbed. Just my personal way of doing yards like this. The disk does a pretty job of loosening the top layer.

    • @aprilgeneric8027
      @aprilgeneric8027 2 роки тому +1

      well like he said he wanted to be safe with his new toys with all the rock and bricks and other demolition in the yard he was told about but didn't know exactly what else was there. better to be safe with the $1000 or less implement than the 5-7grand implement right?
      i've had people tell me there were rocks in the yard, and get there and 'rocks' was just to scratch the surface, by rocks there were riding lawn mower sized boulders buried up to their tippy tops. dug out 5 with a back hoe and 3 i had to rip open a deeper grave and drag them in a few more feet down to the deeper hole as the machine couldn't get them out of their shallow grave...they were twice as heavy as this 1025R and i struggled to even lift one side of them.
      my tiller does a great job but it does such a great job that it turns soil almost a foot down, and that's too much settling for grass and for a slope to boot, neighbor would have been mad at the wash out on the first heavy rain, which would have took alot of dirt and seed with it straw or not. patchy bare spots wouldn't be accomplishing the job successfully in my book.
      with that soil pulverize i would have just purely chisel raked it until all the bricks and larger rocks were dragged out.
      but first i would have dug that drain pipe down another 2 feet and buried it, and made full length passes. people forget in the snow belt that pipe is going to collect snow melt until it freezes shut in the winter. frost line is 3-4 feet down

    Bill, have you ever loaded on a tiltbed trailer?

    • @billburkhart
      @billburkhart  3 роки тому +1

      Funny you should ask that question Andrew, I was looking for a tilt bed trailer last month and would have traded on the spot......except there are no tilt bed trailers available within a 3 1/2 drive of me right now. As soon as the supply chain gets back to normal, I plan on purchasing a tilt bed. Wish I had in the beginning. Good question.

    • @andrewbrenneman9592
      @andrewbrenneman9592 3 роки тому

      @@billburkhart take a look at my tractor view loading on my trailer. I think you will like a tiltbed. But there is a downside to full tiltbed (like mine), makes it more difficult to load multiple implements. Might look into a more construction oriented tiltbed trailer. One that has a stationary section flatbed. Something like MAXXD G6X, PJ, Diamond C, Sure-Trac, Texas Pride, Kaufman, Cam Superline, Ironbull, Load Trail, Big Tex, just to name several. I'm not sure what is available in your area. But these might help with ideas and your needs.

    • @billburkhart
      @billburkhart  3 роки тому +1

      @@andrewbrenneman9592 just watched your video, thanks for the advice. So your recommending a tilt trail with a fixed front correct?

    • @andrewbrenneman9592
      @andrewbrenneman9592 2 роки тому +1

      @@billburkhart I think a partial tiltbed trailer would be a better fit for your application. You bring more than 1 implement to jobs, with a full tiltbed might make you nervous incase if you need to stop on the deck in full tilt mode. A partial tilt would allow you to leave an implement strapped to the trailer without the deck being lowered in lock position.

    • @billburkhart
