- Welcome back to MarcelianOnline! Today, we need to address the Druid Hero talents as there are plenty of reasons to have concerts and since Blizz is open to make changes, feedback is always in order!
Regardless if we’re talking druid of the claw, elune’s chosen or any of the war within druid hero talents, there are some nodes that just don’t make sense and we’re addressing all of them today so if you are guardian, feral, resto or looking forward to trying war within blance druid, this video is for you!

I am excited for the fury of elune hero talent tree for guardian. Turning thrash into arcane damage and all the buff to it and arcane heals you and shields you too. That might be strong plus the beams coming down when fury of elune procs with moonfire going off.

Hay Flame I love the vids and there a great help. I watched your vids a long time a go but then took a break, but i was wondering what happened to Marcelian in the vids if you don't mind me asking.
Here's a super crazy idea, but bear with me; if shapeshifting is going to be a thing for feral dps (and/or guardian druids) MAYBE rework bear/cat for them so that so feral bears drop the "tanky" side and make it a dps bear? Likewise, give guardian a dire cat that's... idk, tanky?
Or just give up the forced in-combat shifting idea.
It just make the rotation spammy, on two already spammy specs, for no reason tbh.
Although not opposed to it, the Feral bears being more DPSy sounds similar to the old Gladiator Stance for prot warriors which blizz did not like and said they won't bring it back.

Perhaps make a werebear and werecat form to do this? Sabercat form?

@@MarcelianOnline prot warriors have a dps stance right now. Hell I never tank in prot stance as a warrior tank, I treat that stance like a defensive CD and swap out of it ASAP.
When I first saw keeper of the grove, I was thinking it was blizz giving druids a new shapeshift form for balance and resto druids too; cenarius based half night elf, half stag dryad appearance. I would've loved to see the customization options they would've given like they did for the moonkins.
Its tough for druids. I feel like we've always gotten the short end of the stick with all specs.
Keeper of the Grove feels like it forgot that Keepers of the Grove, while having Force of Nature which was actually cool in wc3, didn't JUST have that lmao. They should've done a big like... actual force of nature (thematically, not ability) style spec. Like a treant battle form, maybe abilities that summon Ancients or something, not just summoning slightly buffed force of nature treants lol...
Idk the arcane bear one looks really fun
What if stampeding roar had a damage reduction tied to it as well. You know...like a stampede running wild and seemingly not taking damage.
it’s weird because even mu suggestion wouldn’t work. if you give a utility spell an extra different utility, then you would only use it for the utility that is better. in this case you would 100% use it as a group wide defensive cool down instead of a movement buff, right?
@MarcelianOnline I was was thinking as a dual effect. Not a choice node...and 'and' not and 'either/or'. But just an idea.
@MarcelianOnline I see your point after rereading your comment. And you are probably right. People would use it for one effect not the other or especially both.
They should give moonfire a 20% chance on direct casts to create a lunar beam at your location

I think ya got this one wrong... I'm constantly shifting from bear to cat..cat to bear and although I've not played the Hero talents yet think they look great... for example: Elune's Chosen looks like it could be the choice for running flags and Druid of the Claw for guarding bases. Guarding bases, running flags, and getting orbs are pretty much the only important things for the Druid spec.
All i wanted for druid is Hearth of the wild the way it was in SL, not a damn 5min CD...

DH Aldrachi Reaver needs reworked to theme is fine but mechanically its a nightmare in combination with our current playstyle. So far these trees have been great or crap not much in-between.

@feeltherush310 10 keys you obviously haven't seriously played Havoc DH in a while but the complexity isn't number of buttons but we do have alot more then we used to. The complexity is we have multiple 5 seconds buff windows we have to stack on top of movement. Havoc doesn't need anymore globals to fit in 5 seconds to add another 5 second buff.
@MarcelianOnline yea what I mean is if you have a good tree it's really good or exceptional. If not it's mediocre or just bad like lightsmith Pally and Oracle Priest. I'm just saying these specs are super spot on or needs alot of work which is fine for this stage. Just a observation. There is time to fix them.
Wildstalker needs to be passive for the most part with just some cool thematic stuff. Too much freaking bloat as is.
Here's my idea for wildstalker. Scratch it and call it Thornweaver and have it revolve around when you cast regrowth you also cast a 5 second thorns on the target that when the target is attacked the thorns deal damage to enemies and healing to allies. And make the capstone when you refresh the thorns buff or when it falls off you get a random secondary stat buff for a short period of time. Ez took me 2minutes to think of something cooler than wildstalker.
And the middle rows of the hero talents can augment the thorn effects, like change the damage to a bleed dot or change the healing to a DR or absorb shield

If they just went back to how the bear was in Legion..... Funny how they basically brought back the "hybrid tax" that failed so spectacularly back in Vanilla...... Seems crazy that the Druid would take some penalties using their hero spec, doesn't seem like any of the other class' talents work like that. This is a little more than "missing the boat," this is a poor design.
Alot of discussion about Druid of the Claw cat form..... it is a trap talent. Take more mangle damage and less magic damage taken, every time.
The shifting talents are for cats.
This video is cap, druid of the claw seems sick, especially since we haven't gotten our hands on any of it. But i do wonder if blizzard have considered for this hero tree to do something when shifting from bear to cat and vice versa to make it feel less bad shifting
The druid of the claw feral tree is amazing, the other one is meh. The elune tree for balance is good too.

I don’t care for any of the hero talents. I think they really hosed themselves by making these blends rather than an actual hero for the spec.
I love the elunes chosen tree, the thaught of going full arcane and astral sounds amazing. Stars, moons, and beams for days!!!! Moons drop more moons or beams trigger more beams if it plays how it sounds will be hella fun to play. Yes its got alot of passive but its like a moon or beam version of shadow priest shadow apparitions, like a machine gun of animation will feel awesome
These new systems are so weird that I barely have an idea of how they would play. I need the beta to even have an opinion about it

This system only make sense if they are more of them. The goal of specialization is specialization in a specific thing, not expanding. Right now claws barely have a choice.
I hope they will release more specialization tree has time goes on.

Elune's Chosen is great. As a moonbear I'm very happy with it. Druid of the Claw is fine for bears, if boring (just more maul), though the cat shifting is going to be ignored.
Wildstalker is boring, but could be effective.
Nobody wants more trees, so 1/4 specs do suck.
Keeper of the Grove should be sick.

My issue is the need to stop, change my talents, bars and sometimes keybinds just to be better on a single target… they need to give us agency not headaches.. and now I see they are throwing even more talents onto the pile.. and don’t even get me started yet on the button bloat and spells that could have multiple functions instead of having 3 or 4 fillers for some classes. I’ll also suggest they modernize casters by letting them cast fillers instantly on 3 sec CD. This would help with mobility and pvp/pve performance that would disintegrate the melee meta.
We should only have to turret and hardcast big spenders like glacial spike, chaos bolt etc..

Forms should of never been taken off the GCD.. at least make it a half GCD ffs. The game has out grown forms being on the GCD in terms of playstyle and pace.
I first gave you a thumbs down w/o even watching your video. Why? because I am sick of all the bashing of this game that people still play daily for hours.
But I went back and watched it and I agree with a lot of what you said. I try not to nit pick games to death, because if they suck, don't play the game or that spec, but first statement that Blizzard missed the mark considering what Druid's kit and style even looks like hit the nail on the head. Thumbs up 👍

i feel like they should have less homogenisation between the druid specs. say ; feral/guardian get stampeding roar, and balance/Resto get innervate. this way there is something more unique of value to you if you want to play the ''non meta'' spec of the druid class. possibly even giving mark of the wild ONLY to Guardian, cause the player base has become WAY TOO dependant on getting that buff. as for the hero talents ; yes, i whole heartidly agree with your takes.
Blizzard: "What do bear druids want? To be cats obviously! And cat druids want to be bears! "
Players: "Or, alternatively, you could STOP smoking crack, maybe? "
Seriously blizz if you best idea for a tank or healer spec is "Make it be dps for a second" Then please find the nearest window and jump out of it, head first. If I wanted to be DPS, I'd play a gods damned DPS. The fact that every fucking thing in this game gets rated on a "How close is it to being a DPS spec" system is boring and lame, and it's making everything feel so horrifically homogenized that I don't even have a class or role I LIKE any more cause they all feel the exact fucking same.

I started playing warcraft 3 when I was 4, before frozen throne was released. I was getting stomped repeatedly during Arthas defence mission in the campaign. 😭
The druid of the claw is literally a 10/10 what are you talking about
