The ghosts following Fushi are those who willingly chose to stay with Fushi instead of passing on to their afterlife. You see March doing exactly that in the episode in which she died.
So far, the ones following Fushi as of this episode are in order: Oniguma, March, Gugu, Tonari, the owl (Ricard/Licard(depending on the translation)).
    As for the others:
-The boy went to his paradise after death (it's shown to us at the end of chapter 1/episode 1).
-The wolf didn't have any connection with Fushi(a stone at the time) and likely passed on as well.
-Pioran asked to be reincarnated as a being that would be useful to Fushi in the future. So she no longer has her memories of her life as Pioran and cannot exist as a ghost since her soul is now in a new body as a new being.
    - Rean died decades later and Fushi wasn't around, which is also why he only transforms into how she looked the last time he saw her.
    - Parona died elsewhere (while pregnant) and accepted her afterlife.
    - Tonari's friends who died when young also chose to pass on.
    - Sandel (Tonari's friend who survived season 1 and whom we saw with old Tonari in season 2 episodes 1-2 died a normal death as centuries went by) was elsewhere and chose to pass on.
    - The old booze man was also away from Fushi and chose to pass on.
    -etc.

I think Parona was killed by Hayase in a horrible way. She didn't have kids or anything, because she would have died around the time Fushi was transitioning from Gugu to prison island

Parona is the form Fushi is using now and Hayase killed her. It's one of the big reasons Hayase is on the "Shit List".

Why do i feel like Bon's gonna die? The way the scene of the previous souls walking behind Fushi shifts to present day with Bon now falling in line right behind him.

Holy shit! so because fushi is immortal that means literally everyone around him is going to die BUT if he takes on bons form/powers does that mean he will be able to finally interact with his fallen loved ones spirits that stuck by his side all this time?!?!
Also side note, can bon see the man in black??

    • @CloudyCrow
      @CloudyCrow  2 роки тому +2

I didn't even think about that!!! Imagine Fushi's face when he sees them all again for the first time!
Also I'd imagine he can see the man in black but I'm not sure since when Bon called out to the man in black, he looked in the opposite direction of where he appeared and Fushi also had to tell Bon what the man in black's answer was

Tonari has always been the scheming kind. It's so fucked up thinking about how she was praising him for his gift while telling him to share it (with Fushi) without Bon knowing that it means dying.

    • @andrewmiller3478
      @andrewmiller3478 2 роки тому

That may have been a part of her plan. But ultimately it's up to Bon what happens with his life and his decisions. True Tonari wants Fushi to see them and may have wanted Bon to find him. But it is up to Bon to make the connection, even she can't plan for how that can go.

Hayase might be "the" yandere bitch, but Tonari literally dedicated her entire life to be Fushi's vessel and even prepared another "one of a kind" vessel for him 😬

Of note is that, technically speaking, even if they were to die far away from Fushi, they should still be able to stay behind as ghost and start looking for Fushi. And yet, the only case so far of someone who died far away and still joined Fushi as a ghost is Tonari's owl.
So far in the series, out of all of the people who could've stayed behind as ghosts with Fushi, but didn't, there are 4 cases worthy of note:
    1) Parona.
(The point is that makes her case interesting is twofold.
Firstly, while she had a big impression/effect on Fushi from his perspective, she herself only felt for him through her feeling for March. So she wasn't personally close to him up to that level.
Secondly, years went by. She married. She was even pregnant when she was captured, tortured and later killed by Hayase. Given those circumstances, it makes sense that she would choose to go to her happy afterlife paradise with her husband and child (and to escape from the trauma of the torture).)
    2) Pioran.
(She would've 100% stayed behind as a ghost with Fushi if the Black Robed Man hadn't answered her question and if he hadn’t made it so that she could reincarnate.
As a result of her reincarnating though, it means that she can't be a ghost since her soul is to be reborn in a new body without memories, but it also means that as per her deal with the Black Robed Man that she will be reborn as a being that will be useful and friendly to Fushi in the future.)
    3) Hayase (and by extension of it being the same soul, all of the successors so far)
(Even though Fushi would never transform into Hayase of her successors due to his feelings on the matter, that wouldn't stop Hayase as a ghost from stalking Fushi forever. If she hadn't found a way to make her soul reincarnate with her core feelings(though without memories), then I'm certain that she absolutely would've stayed behind as a ghost and would've gone to try to find him.
Also, since all of her Successors are the inheritors of her soul, it also means that they(Kahaku included) cannot become ghosts and cannot go to the afterlife since their singular soul will continue to the next successor.)
    4) Rean.
(If Rean had died together with Gugu, then I do believe that there is a very good chance that she would've also stayed as a ghost with Fushi. However, decades passed by before she died. She probably made a family, and by that point her feelings of closeness like a sibling with Fushi wouldn't be stronger than how she feels about her family and she would've thus definitely accepted the afterlife paradise.)
There is also more to consider when it comes to the afterlife paradise.
To elaborate, let me tell you about some cool lore hidden between the lines in the series since the beginning (not spoiler):
(The following is a comment I made elsewhere a while back)
Back in season 1, we see that when people die, from their perspective, they(their soul) go into a sort of paradise that is actually an illusion.
The boy in episode 1 saw his family and the people from his village and his wolf.
Back then, we didn't know if it was a real paradise.
Then, we saw it from March's perspective after she died. She saw her parents, her little sister, Parona and her dolls (now being somehow alive). Problem is, all of those people she saw weren't dead. This confirmed to us that the "paradise" is an illusionary afterlife for the soul. However, March didn't stay there. March broke out of the illusion because she went to search for someone who couldn't be in it, Fushi. It seems that the way the illusionary paradise works, that it cannot replicate Fushi.
After she came out of the paradise and looked around, she saw the ghost of the giant bear and then saw her own corpse and Parona almost killing herself before being stopped by Fushi.
Because she broke out of the paradise, March can no longer return to it, nor does she want to as her and the bear(oniguma) have been following Fushi around ever since.
Then, when Gugu(the fire breath mask guy) died, we didn't get to see his point of view for the paradise, but we did get to see his ghost standing together with March and the Oniguma(the bear).
We didn't get to see since then if anyone else stayed behind as ghosts, but we do know that Pioran(the old woman) can't have done that since she choose to reincarnate(with the help of the black robed man) into a being that will be helpful to Fushi in the future. Even then, she did get to see her own illusionary paradise(in which she had her looks form her youth), but she stayed true to her will and went with the black robed man when he showed up in her paradise.
