Congrats on the camera upgrade Matt - HDR looks brilliant on my display and instantly noticeable. I appreciate the longer vids too - you’re one of only a few channels I wish for more content. Didn’t think I’d like that blue but I did - although all white probably would have been best for bouncing the light around. Keep up the great work and I hope you get more sponsors/free stuff too - you deserve it.
Stoked for you Matt. Well done mate. Seems a very tight space but I've no doubt you'll find ingenious ways to make the most of it. Like the colour too. 👏👏
Matt, that workshop is super insulated... Very well done, like you say yourself it'll be so easy to heat during the winter. I love the little tip about stapling the twine to hold the insulation up in the ceiling. It might be an idea that when you have your shed build complete that you make one long video from all of these smaller section videos that would be brilliant! Well done Matt it's a fantastic workspace and badly needed. Am so looking forward to the projects and creations you were going to make in this space
It’s a hybrid roof. Liam over at Oakwood garden room channel has done some long term tests to evidence that condensation doesn’t form above the PIR as long as pushed flush against the underside of the OSB roof.
Matt, for a while I thought you had moved to the Caribbean, the sun was shining, but by 15:00 normal service was resumed and it was all overcast, hopefully, it'll start raining again soon and we can all relax.
The workshop looks really good and the quite dark blue looks also nice. I wonder if there is going to be to dark inside even with lighting. Really enjoyable series though.
Very much enjoying your building and construction video's Matt, thank you. Much inspiring! And you know, I'd love to see a time lapse for the entire workshop build, I think that might be pretty nice to see.
Hi Matt, the workshop is looking absolutely fantastic, you are doing a brilliant job and by the time it is 'done and dusted' it will be a dream work space, my only issue I can see is the head height, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍
Great video as always Matt this whole series is really good and I bet you can't wait to get everything in place and start using the new workshop. Watching this makes me want to build one of my own but I already have two so not sure where I'd put a 3rd one lol. Maybe it's just me being greedy but I watch these and wish they'd go on for longer I'm not usually a fan of videos over 30 mins but there's something about watching yours that keep me interested and wanting more can't wait until the next one. I'm really interested to see how you manage tool storage on walls etc.
That's a realy great build Matt. Have you started thinking about the second shed build series where you can keep all the stuff that would otherwise make your workshop look untidy ? :D
Whilst the Blue, in itself, is a nice colour it is classed as a 'cold colour', and also makes areas look smaller than they are. That colour would be good as an accent colour on one wall but not all of it. End of the day its what you personally like and as you said in your video you can always change it if it isn't working for you. Regards.
nice job carried out with skill. May I suggest that you try TX screws, I know they are more expensive but thgey come with the driver tips and do not cam out like the posi drives taht you were using on this project
Nobody here would ever disparage Matt's Hat with overhead supporting capabilities. If I ever built a shed I would follow this build; excellent directions. Will the Badger Workshop sign have a dedicated episode when it's repositioned?
Well I recon leave the tools in the house and move in. The amount of insulation little fire like the last place 👍🏻 FYI. The primer is brilliant good for everything not just MDF. 😊
That's a lovely colour. How is crime in your area? You'll have a lot of valuable tools and very large, tempting windows. Might I suggest steel security bars? They also come in handy because you can stick anything magnetic to them.
That is a great job. I would be interested to know what the ambient temperature is throughout the year. I am sure that the insulation will have helped massively.
Great choice with the blue! Really sets the mood. Now all that's missing is a tiny woodstove! Looking forward to ser what you do Inside the shop. Thanks for sharing!
Years ago on site, we'd install plasterboard ceilings by holding up the boards wirth our heads, as we installed the fixings. It's called 'nutting up'. Two people, no props, just upwards pressure from our heads. Hmmm, I wonder if that's why we're all bald now?
If it was me I would wire surface in conduit. Much easier to alter when you discover your mistakes....because there will be a mistake/ alteration/ addition. 🤣
@@eggster71 hi sir fully understand your comment , but as a retired electrical contractor I tend to think of the time savings and the overall visual appearance . Our attitude was probably more based on cost and practicality , but again I can see the merit of your statement . Best wishes and kind regards 👍😀
Ive really enjoyed this build! Thanks for such excellent videos! Id be interested to hear how "good" the sound proofing solution youve got is... door open & closed with a mitre saw/router or something
Great build series - you make building a workshop look easy! I think you said you’d be using the battery pack and solar - will you mount the panels on the roof?
Hi Matt, I've seen this video a couple of times now and I'm wondering why you've put insulation board in and then the soft rockwool on top? Reason I ask is that I'm finally starting to finish the inside of my workshop in my garden and I was told to have a small air gap between the insulation board and the OSB I'm using as the walls. Can you please clarify Matt. Cheers James 😊
Looking good Matt, five days into 20 minutes the wonder of editing, but obviously a lot of work there ! The blue is a bold decision, but looks good and I'm sure you can balance it with good lighting. As you said, if it doesn't work out you can always re-paint it, the great advantage of the panelling effect is you could just repaint the top half to the trim line if required !
Hey Matt, I’m curious will you be doing an external dust collection! Seemed to do wonders with making it easy to service and all! Love what you have done with the place !😊
I’ve loved watching your videos! I’m having my ‘shed’ built soon. I’m finding insulation advice to be a minefield! I’ll be using mine as a sewing studio, I will be installing a floor much like yours and laying a thick vinyl. I’m still in several minds about what and how to insulate and line the walls and ceiling 😅
Looking great! A couple of thoughts - are you wishing for a bit more headroom? Also any concern about not having a vapour barrier for the walls given you taped up the ceiling?
looking great mate, really great series. What's the plan with the electrics are you going to use the big battery unit you have? Would be really interesting if you do a video/update on heating it, would be interested to know if it holds heat and how long it takes to heat.

I always use spray carpet glue, not much needed, just a quick spray on each surface and they hold really well!
Marvelous Matt, very therapeutic. Never tire of workshop/shepherd hut builds. Each one adds a bit more depth and knowledge.
Thank you Malcolm
Different camera angle from low .. my how you've grown Matt
Looking good Matt. Can't wait for the new impact driver to make it in to the videos 😆. Cheers Ben
Absolutely love the colour Matt, delighted you are back in a proper badgers workshop
Thank you very much

16:56 sapphire salute? Bosch Blue, I think 😁
Yes very true
The blue will contrast nicely with all the wooden stuff you’ll end up with in there.
Love the blue colour.
Looking great 👍
Excellent work as ever Mr Badger
Great work Matt. I left my walls white to reflect the light as I don't have as many or as large windows as you have.
Take care mate.

Thank you
Both well designed and well built, excellent video series.
Thank you Bob

Fantastic job , it looks incredible, great workmanship throughout 👍

Great work Matt. Another advantage, to the wonderful wooly hat, is that it keeps the oil of your hair transferring to the mdf.
It looks amazing, absolutely love it xxxx
