    Oh yes. America. Wide streets. Open areas and parks, Parking lots, beautiful cars and blue sky. I love America.

    I grew up in DC over 60 years ago. I’ve taken this route several times, some part has changed but for the most part it looks the same.
    Thanks for letting me ride with you.

    Thanks for posting this. I used to live in Silver Spring in that brown apartment building in front of the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 32:08. That was 32 years ago and it still looks the same, but the city changed a lot. This video brings memories.

    Well, that was a good drive. I used to take 14th St in to downtown every day just like that. Then other times I lived there, I'd make trips up to Silver Springs. Memories. Thanks. And I also learned they changed the Metro buses.

    My GoPro Camera came with an assortment of adhesive mounts. I stuck one mount at the top of the windshield behind the rear view mirror.

    When you started off in the video you were driving on 395? You were around George Washington Memorial pike, am I right? Why didn't you take that exit instead it lead to 495, and you could of been on your way to 495 long before then instead of weaving through Connecticut, 14th St, and Georgia Avenue traffic. Anyway. I've moved out side of the country three years ago and watching this video bring back memories. Great video.

      You're absolutely right. I went this way on purpose because I found it more scenic.

    Some of your "hanging back" driving gives me anxiety knowing that it all adds up to the traffic pattern for people behind you. But since I moved from DC to California a couple of years ago, I appreciate just how much better drivers are in DC. Here in CA, just about half of everyone has a "hang back" mentality, dozens of feet build up in front of someone before they barely notice they should go faster, but still not catching up. Drives me nuts.

      Not anymore. Bay Area drivers are psycho now.

    I noticed not many loud cars. In the Bay Area, the thugs make their cars loud. Do they do this in Maryland?

    Aaaah! Silver Spring, MD, a great place to live and raise a family. But you single folks, widows, and divorcees, there is plenty here for you as well. Welcome home.

    If you lay out the diagram of the Serpent of Life over a sky-view of Washington DC. you will see a perfect match! Unfortunately you will see the same result if you lay it over Vatican City. Makes you wonder if the Pope isn't calling the shots!!! Who's really in charge in Washington??????

    with exception of nyc where there is an outdoor life, where people like to walk, and take metro, and squeeze in the bars and pubs, rest of America is the same, boring and horrible time zone for the rest of the world!

    • @SomeGuyWhoPlaysGames333
      @SomeGuyWhoPlaysGames333 8 років тому +3

      You have not been to the rest of America.

    • @neji808
      @neji808 8 років тому +2

      No offense, but if you think that nyc is the only place with decent outdoor life and people that like to walk, then you clearly haven't been anywhere else in America.

      The others are right. You know nothing about America. Question is, why do people who don't know what they're talking about insist on making blanket generalization about the US. It's really a mystery to me.
