You are a pretty good driver, it must be so useful to swerve between all the vehicles like that, i bet in a car it would take you hours to get to work each day.

This is so crazy. I can't even imagine how it must be to live in a city like that. Up here in Scandinavia we have no cities that even comes close to NYC, I would probably get claustrophobia within a day. Sick driving too, your balls are definitely bigger than mine O_o
Late ass comment but I just bought me a moped just using it to get to work and back not riding on the main roads just ride it around on back roads to get my thoughts together and to the gym right down the street from me but I just ride it no farther then 6 miles from my job and to the gym other then that I stay off main roads

I ride a 50cc here in japan in a very similar fashion. Surprisingly as narrow as streets are here, there is even more wiggle room getting between cars than you seem to have there. I enjoyed your talk w the fellow motorist toward the end. 🤙🏽

My first and last visit (till date) to US was with my wife and started with New York city. Totally love the city and remember all the great moments we had. I must thank you for the wonderful video and a great ride through the city. You passed right by where we stayed for about 5 days; that was 2ve 32nd street right opposite loew cinemas. I love this! Goes to show how much different we are hahah. If someone stopped next to you and started talking to you like that over here in Sweden, you would think he was mentally ill or something. People try to avoid contact with others at all times. I wish I could go there sometime soon and experience this :)
That bridge goes on forever lol. Rides like this are perfect for scooters, open them up a bit on longer roads. Bitty short city rides ain't always good engine wise. Fun video, I would recommend gloves i have rode for over 30 years and gloves are your friend for sure, worse case a crash, but also stuff flying up and hitting your hands it has happened to me many times through the years.. remember gloves.. carry on!
Honestly woodside, Astoria and Long Island city were the best places I ever lived. I miss it so much. Those were such cool neighborhoods, I could get to the city with relative ease. Shit was expensive yeah but I wouldn't trade growing up and going to school there for the world.

Ciao, I used a GoPro camera with the chest fastener/belt. Worked pretty well and didn't look funny sticking off my helmet. LOTS of people scoot in NYC. But probably not nearly as much as in Italy! Would love to scoot there some day.

I have a 2008 Vespa LX50cc with some mods that I drive here in downtown Miami hitting 45 mph no problem Its an ideal scoot for tight spaces, light, comfortable, well made, great handler and looks great, 80 mpg. Loving it😁

As a kid, I tried working as a motorcycle messenger using my own bike, a brand new 160cc Ducati, which the messenger work was supposed to pay for. Did it in midtown traffic one day and never even went back for my pay. Decided my new bike, not to mention my life, were more valuable. Anyway, thanks for the ride ... and tell us how you found a near empty lane crossing the QB bridge in rush hour.
Jay Schleifer That’s a secret I discovered after one too many times sitting in traffic on the Queens bridge. I noticed the other side of the bridge, which is supposed to be heading toward Queens, was heading toward Manhattan. And all the cars were cabs and they were doing highway speeds while I was stuck in traffic. I discovered that traffic enforcement allows for opposite direction traffic during rush hour on weekdays. What a discovery! Never waited in traffic again on that bridge commuting into work during the week.
If you dont mind me asking, first off what kind of scooter is this, I mean is it a Vespa or some other brand, and secondly, what kind of gas miliage does it get, and third, is this the one you need to get a motorcycle license for or can you just use your standard Driving license???
Hey Andrew it's a 2009 Kymco People 150, purchased in Brooklyn at the Vespa dealer. It's a 150cc engine, which means I was required to get a motorcycle license. Gas mileage... not entirely sure but I know it's pretty high.

Yeah, NYC streets are not the greatest. I'd say the government is part of the problem. They're always doing construction and eating up the roads.
Did that commute for 2 years on a vespa 250. Love riding through the city. Even made it liberty state park.

Hey Andrew it's a 2009 Kymco People 150, purchased in Brooklyn at the Vespa dealer. It's a 150cc engine, which means I was required to get a motorcycle license. Gas mileage... not entirely sure but I know it's pretty high.
