What a fantastic network of rivers around Ganga! Little wonder, it is the life line of the Indo-Gangetic plains. A short while back I saw your other longer video on the right bank tributaries of Ganga. We hear that the river in Ayodhya is called Sarayu. You referred river Gaghra passing through Ayodhya. Are they one and the same? Ungrateful mankind has ruined the holy river for decades. A few years back, when I visited Varanasi, I found that the water was fit for bathing. That’s a great improvement. About three decades back, one of my aunts bathed in Ganga and contracted skin diseases which haunted her till the end of her life.
